So guys what do we think will happen in the summer apart from more rain lol , transfers will sess go , the mig , who will we bring in ,will we sign big and push for at least top 8 just wanted to get some thought as I'm bored stiff watching shrek 2 with the kids. I think 1 of the top for will go In for mig Sess will be sold Clear out some more deadwood Just think in the some oneil will have a real chance to stamp his mark on the squad
Squad is piss poor at the minute mate which is why we struggle with a couple of injuries. We have to try and keep hold of our better players and build round them. I'll say this again as I did last August we need to spend 40/50mil on quality and forget about crocks and has beens. When we have the quality in then we move the dross on not the other way round, we can then look at 1 or 2 loans to bolster the squad out a bit.
I think our squad is going in the right direction fletcher , sess mig Johnson ndiaye then in the summer another 3 or 4 spend a few quid and you are looking at a very good team . But I think holding onto the mig will be hard and with sess I think it might be a case of we're does he fit into the squad
Out of Mig and Sess I can see Sess going in the Summer if any. Some say he is just to good for our team at present which is why he has looked crap earlier on possible but IMO he was just crap. If we can get Danny Rose in great then we need a full back line as I can see MON using Rose on the wing. Big money and a big gamble if it doesn't pan out straight away, hopefully we see quality over quantity in the Summer mate as that is what we need.
Mignolet, JOS, Rose, Johnson, Sessegnon (played correctly), N'Diaye (if his debut is anything to go by), Fletcher, Larsson (still a quality player when used as a right midfielder imo), Cattermole, Gardener, Bardsley (if he can get his form of the last 3 years back) and Cuellar (I am not as quick to put this lad down as some) are all decent players to build on imo. Add to these the likes of Brown (if he ever gets fit that is), Colback, Bramble, Vaughan, McClean, Wickham and Westwood are all decent squad players. We have yet to see Mangane so I will reserve judgement for now and of course lets not forget there could be another 2 or 3 in before Tuesday night. 12 first team; 7 squad players that can be improved upon and 1 unknown (as of today). Its a very thin squad and we need another 4 or 5 in the summer with maybe 3 or 4 leaving.
I think Mig will sign a new improved contract. He's unrivalled in his position and developing at a staggering rate. Doubt he'll risk moving when he could not play every game. world class keepers tend to stay put if they're playing, look at friedel when at blackburn. As for Sess, tetchy form + new contract= loss of interest imo. Titus and Kilgalon will be on their way, probs Vaughn and defo McFadden. O'neil has already shifted half the deadwood this window. expect loan signings and maybe Graham this window then in the summer we don't have to move too many players on before we can buy. Cracking work. 2 long term CBs in the summer is a must.
