Declan Rudd and Andrew Surman are in the starting line up today according to the BBC. So will Lee Camp be on the bench? I find this very puzzling indeed, why get Camp in if he intends to use Rudd in goal. If Declan can play this game then should he not be deemed as adequate cover for Mark Bunn? Unless Mark Bunn is finished (I doubt it though)
Would love to see us actually try a different formation this week too. Surely we can't throw 4-5-1 against Luton. Would be good to see Hoots try something different.
Surely he can't start this one with 2 defensive midfielders? Tettey plus Fox, maybe? Also be good (and unusual) to see Surman play on the left. Plus hopefully two up top, Kane and Jackson, perhaps?
I agree we should be playing a more attacking formation today. Although we don not have that many fit strikers so I would not be that surprised if we only played one up top. Be good if a couple of the youngsters can get a place on the bench as well
Love to see the young lad Josh Murphy get a run out at some stage. Great experience for him - maybe him and Kane together upfront for a spell if things are going well?
We have Kane and Jackson. If they don't get game time in a fixture such as this, how can we expect them to produce the goods in the 10-15 mins they get when they finally get on the field in the Prem? Personally I'd like to see a diamond with Howson at the tip and Fox at the bottom, Surs on one side and Benno on the other. If it's not too soon for him, Whitt's at RB, Tierney at LB and Barnett/R Bennett in the centre.
Don't want to see our best players risked for this.Luton will be up for it and the risk of injury is probably greater than for a Premiership game.Although it's a shock for Villa to lose it may be in their greater interest to be out of it and concentrating on survival.
From what I've read, it's a full prem squad, so no Murphy's, and Whittaker is only fit for the bench.
