As much as I am enthusiastic about our recent purchases, a few things are starting to worry me:
    1. They need to adapt to the speed of the English game....and fast
    2. They need to gel with each other and the rest of the team.....and fast
    3. They need to realise the pressure they're under....and fast.

A lot of signings in such a short space of time doesn't necessarily solve the problem...ask former QPR boss Mark Hughes.

Sorry to piss on everybody's chips and that but there is still some way to go yet and I really hope that they all hit the ground running.

One could have given the imperious Liverpool side of the seventies to Mark Hughes and he'd still bugger them up.

Dogleash got something out of them, I think Hughes could have done as good as him.

I agree with the OP, but I personally think we have more than enough quality to survive.

My thoughts. I expect a fairly protracted introduction. Mbiwa I think might start ASAP, while Gouffran and Sissoko probably will be brought on from the subs bench. Haidara might not even be on the bench!

Don't think he's got much of a choice. The present team aren't doing that great are they?

And lets not forget you are losing sight of the fact that its the English premier league and English players should be involved.

Newcastle are losing the soul of British football, the English player, by having all these foreigners in the team and having next to no English players in there.

To be fair mate, we just don't like paying silly, over the top fees for British talent.
It's clubs fault for taking the piss with transfer fees for these players.

    HBA £2m
    Cabaye £4.7m
    Cisse £9m
    Tiote £3.4m
    Debuchy £5m
    Mbiwa £6.7m

That lot cost less than you paid for Carroll.

No brainier really and 99% of fans would them over Amy anyday.

Fair point & I actually agree with you. Was just mocking Alan Pardew's comments about Arsenal in 2006 ;)

    5???

Agree completely, I don't care where they come from, as long as they're good.

If the players are good it works - the QPR signings were all for **** players that only went there for money,

Tbh, ive thought the same.. will they come into the side and ultimately be able to realize that THEY ARE in a relegation scrap and be able to perform however, i think the fact they dont feel any of that pressure means they can come into the team, give the other players (lacking in confidence) confidence and really freshen things up.

I mean, we as supporters are already feeling a renewed confidence and optimism so surely that will be felt even more by the management and team which will *fingers crossed* create a new winning mentality that we have lost.

They have done fantastically well during this transfer window, i would have liked to have another striker but i think Gouffran is underrated and he'll score some vital goals for us this season.

I think our scouting is way better than the scattergun approach QPR went for over the last couple of years.

Whatever happens, at least the board have (eventually) backed the manager - shame some of this didn't happen last summer as we probably wouldn't be where we are now

I agree buying a lot of players may not solve the problem, but its not like we are completing revamping our whole first team. We are adding depth which we all said was missing. We have long been linked with those mentioned so this is not some panic dash for players. They are players are scouting team have done the work on. Basically I think we are better off with them than without them. We can't afford to shop English unfortunately so need to get to a point where academy can produce its own. In the meantime we'll have to pick off bargains from countries we have good knowledge of.
