Morning Everyone, Kisnorbo is set to stay at Portman Road til the end of the season. The question that must be on everyones lips is: Will YWBK change his nic? What about We'll-never-see-Becchio-again? Nigel Atkins is set to replace Grayson at Huddersfield. Surely, they're punching above their weight? Gradels name is again is in the mix. Does anyone believe it? Is it just a smokescreen to detract from a possible somebody leaving? Who would like to see Becchio's transfer request. I wonder whether it mentions lack of ambition and broken promises. If you were writing a biography about Leeds Utd in the last 5 years, what would you call it? I'll start. I'd call it Broken promises and lack of ambition!!!
Morning Elland. A title for the book, "how to waste five years of your life". I predicted Adkins a few minutes after Grayson was sacked. Huddersfield have ambition, we don't. They will give him money to spend. He wouldn't come to us I suspect anyway. Wouldn't it really cap a fantastic season if we brought Grayson back as maybe director of football. Gradel is not happening, if the excuse is that we can't give Becchio a better wage because of fair play rules then we can't afford Gradel. We couldn't afford to keep him so what has changed nothing. GFH haven't the funds, we better get used to it.. You couldn't write it could you, only Leeds could get brought by someone with no serious funding.
"Lost Generation" for the book title as Bates priced out a whole generation of kids from being future fans. These kids support prem clubs and not their home town club which is a disgrace. The club has been raped for the last 8-years and the new guys who supposedly paid bates £52m for the club must be stupid, unless they just want to carry on with the rape and pillage. Nothing they've done so far suggests that they have any ambition to get us back where we belong, and touting Becchio is just a continuation of selling our better players, and always at the end of each transfer window. Good luck to Kissa, but yet another cock up by Grayson who gave him a long contract, before he'd seen how he would be after so long out of the game, and knowing his injury history. Good luck to Becchio too, but I think he or his agent think he's better than he actually is. No league game this weekend will see us fall further down the league, making it a bit harder to catch up again, even if we had a half decent team. The negative goal difference is really bad and deserves a bottom half league position, but it just shows how average this league is this season. Which means we really are a bad side, or just have a bad manager. GFH should be speaking to Adkins about replacing Warnock, either now or at the end of the season. Adkins will do a fantastic job if given support by the board, and Leeds would be a dream club for him and the biggest club he could hope to manage. Just putting him in place would show intent, even if GFH didn't do anything in the transfer market until the summer. Warnock will keep us in this league and then depart.
Morning all. Before we get ahead of ourselves, Becchio is still under contract until the end of NEXT season. So there's no immediate rush to sell. He'll also want to keep himself in the shop window in order to attract the best possible deal. That said, if we did sell him before next Wednesday, we've got McCormack, Diouf, & Somma with some attacking options elsewhere. If what Warnock says about why we play some hoofball is true, maybe losing Becchio & bringing in wingers & another forward isn't such a bad idea. I'm beginning to think this season is almost over for us unless GFH/Warnock can pull a rabitt out of a hat & either bring back Gradel or get another decent signing. Can't see it myself, but you never know. Not looking forward to Sunday. If 5-1 against Chelski was bad enough, at least we gave them a game for 65-70 minutes. There's a serious danger that if Bale & Lennon are let lose on our back 4, they could end up with a cricket score..... before half time. Heyho, it's never easy being a Leeds fan. We’ve now lost the opportunity to replace Warnock with either Adkins or Sean O’Driscoll, both of whom would have been an improvement. It’s a strange world when ‘Udders have ore ambition than us. What next, a capacity crowd at Millwall?
