i sometimes don't get our fans, whenever a new player comes to United, its like some of them want to have a go at them, take Ashley Young for instance, last year we paid £18 million ( allegedly ) for him, the next thing our fans our saying ''we don't need a winger'', or '' we need a centre midfielder'', thank god some of them don't manage the club, i bet they would sell half of our squad, Young's a good player, he's an england international. Since the news about Zaha is joining us, some of our fans are saying '' too much money'', '' overrated'', , be grateful that we're getting an exciting talent that will be part of the club.
It's because a load of us are older cynics who no longer get excited by signing yet another winger. We also don't elevate all new signings to world class status like you and claim to have seen them play loads. It's called reserving judgment. This deal could work out well in that come summer one of the other wingers, Nani most probably because he has the best value to the foreign market, could be sold or part exchanged towards some beef at centre mid. We're alright apart from that. It might also inspire the other wingers to perform for the remainder of the season.
i've only done it once Chief, i won't do again. Like when Butter came in the summer, since then, Evra has been superb for us this season.
It's habit that Liverpool fans, mainly Baz when he was about, are into. Soon as someone signs they are world class and you know they don't have a clue. The notable one was Allen, they wouldn't be told he's just above average and no better. No, instantly world class. That's what I am applying to Zaha, until I've seen him play a bit I can't get excited. No point pretending he's brilliant if we don't actually know. It was the same with that Brazilian who ended up going to PSG and we were all meant to be going bananas at spending 30 million on someone we didn't know because he looks good on computer game. Ridiculous.
This. No point going nuts over a new signing when you have no idea how they are going to perform. Don't see the point of building hopes up for no reason. Happy we've signed Zaha, especially if it means we can shift Nani on for tidy money and get a top class CM as a result, but my sex wee is reserved for when he actually does something for us on the pitch.
