We're ruining football, If only we were a well run club
Finances looking better, and will improve more once we lose a few ridiculously overpaid oldies. Cannot believe we can get players like Mata for £60,000 pw, yet are paying Lamps , Cole and Terry £150,000 pw. Don't care how good they are, they are obscenely overpaid and need a dose of reality. We should bite the bullett and pay off the Maloudas of the Club as well. Pointless having them hang around, better to subsidise their wages and move them on.
These barmy deals are a thing of the past! I cant see many more 6 figure weekly paychecks happening again!
They'll want more but no one will pay it. FFP means that clubs may well be introducing salary caps at the big clubs at least. Players and agents will soon find that clubs out right will not pay what they are demanding. I can see this FFP having some benefits.
Bloody hope so, but think the top clubs will get stronger and the weak get weaker, pretty much the opposite of what Septic Bladder is hoping for.
We'll be fine once we add in the profit from the two extra pies we will sell when Fat Sam visits WHL.
Too bad Rafa wasn't appointed by the time we came to WHL... for more than one reason. Better hope you draw Hull in the cup
Real Madrid richest club in football. How?They buy all the best players from around the world. At present they are, what?,about 10 points behind Barcelona, are currently 3rd! Which promps the question....how much do they charge to watch a Real game at home? I guess someone must be throwing money in ala Manchester City.......
They get to negotiate there own TV deals, unlike the PL which is evened out between all clubs (which is the way it should be)
They get to negotiate their own TV deals as already said, and they have links with the Spanish government which enables them to get massive loans at extremely low interest rates. Also, a few years ago, Madrid city council bought their training ground off them for €447m. Not to mention the massive amounts of money they get from sponsorship and merchandise worldwide due to them being arguable the biggest club in the world.
My Lord!I thought that blooming country was bankrupt with the EU throwing in billions to help the idiots out.Now we know where it's all going!!!!!
