The Ball boy has made a full apology to Hazard for time wasting and play acting. As has Hazard to the ball boy. I think Hazard will get his three match ban and the ball boy will get a season ticket for life at Swansea paid for by chelsea
Am I the only one to think that Hazard didn't actually do anything that bad? He didn't kick the ball boy (though I would have done, little tosser) but he did kick the ball that the aforementioned ball boy was desperately hanging onto for some reason, and his reaction afterwards was one of the most ridiculous things I have ever, ever seen. Ok, Hazard probably shouldn't have even did what he did, but for me he didn't actually do what he's being accused of, that being kicking the lad because I can only see him kick the ball from under him.
It's all part of the gamesmanship thing nowadays - at the Wigan game recenly, the ball went out of play towards the end and a ball-boy went to retrieve it only for Moro to shout "leave it" at him so that valuable seconds could be wasted. It's a component of the win at all costs mentality that's led to the increase of diving, feigning injury and harrassing refs.
How do they select the ball boys? Why not use lads from the academies and train them properly All that said Hazard is a thug the ballboy may have been foolish but he is a boy no excuse for kicking him hope they throw the book at him and give him considerable ban
I agree with this, but mainly because he is in my dreamteam rumours have it that he is one of swansea's directors sons
For me it's rather inconclusive as to whether he kicked the ball or the ball-boy but it's something he should not have done.
Agree 100%. It is well known that this time wasting goes on all the time. Many years ago some pupils from a school I knew were at Carrow Rd as ball boys, and YES they were instructed in the art of fast and slow ball retreaval. The boy wants a clip round the ear and Hazards card recended Mamsy pamsy attitude again.
But he didn't kick him, he kicked the ball!! Quite obvious from what I've seen, can't believe others can't see it as well

The kid was an idiot and some might say he deserved to be kicked. However Hazard is a professional and paid a lot of money, he knows the rules and what sort of behaviour is expected of him and that certainly is not it. It is a sad affair taking away from the Swans making the final, a 3 game ban then we can all move on.
I've seen suggestions of 4 or 5 match bans. Obviously a straight red in some occasions gets you a three match ban, which I would agree with for Hazard but is it really on the same level as Terry's racial abuse which got him a 4 match ban.
But he wouldn't have needed to kick anywhere near the kid had he not been stupidly laying on the ball trying to delay the game - which he had absolutely no right to do. Sorry, but if you think that was "thuggish behaviour" I suggest you've led a pretty sheltered life.
i/ve seen some unbelievable things in football in the last few years, e.g suarez, john terry, fergie's rants, but this tops the lot! i'm looking forward to weeks of endless over-reporting about the matter in the media
I agree, I hope something exciting and positive happens in the football world soon so we don't have to listen to any more of this rubbish
No I have standards if you think what he did was acceptable then I'm sorry but I was brought up to expect more He was a child children do childish things the professional sportsman should rise above it
To be fair he is 17, you would expect a degree of maturity from a 17 year old, he is nearly at the legal age to drink, at that age you should have common sense and maturity should prevail. He sounds like a cocky little **** to me.

I know plenty of 17/18 year olds and I was that age not so long a go. There really is a huge variety in peoples' level of maturity, even at that age.
