There is no way Hazard kicked him delibrately, he tried to kick the ball from under him yes, but it was no major surprise that he accidently caught him in the attempt. The ball boy should have been booked for time wasting.

I have heard from quite a few people ( I don't have twitter ) but the word is, that kid put on his twitter account he was purposefully going to do this. He has intentionally set out to make a name for himself.

I watched the game, and the same kid tried to entice other Chelsea players before the incident. He is an absolute disgrace in my eyes.

I remember when we lost 3-0 there when Scotland scored twice, their ball boys were up to it then.

The lad has shielded the ball to start with, refused to give it back and been an absolute clown about it all. Hazard did kick the ball from under him sure, but he kicked the ball. Even if he made a slight contact with the buffoon, there was simply zero need for that pathetic reaction.

He was wearing a MASSIVE puffer jacket for crying out loud.

Fair play Eden Hazard, you have certainly gone up in my estimations. That clown should never be let near a football pitch again.

Also, apparently Hazard has apologised, as has the lad. I really hope Hazard gets no lengthy ban as the incident should never have happened in the first place.

You didn't know me in the late 70's. <laugh>

The kid and his dad met with Hazard, Terry and Lampard after the game, all shook hands, no police action, common sense prevails.

he even has the cheek to look around and see what's happening as he's 100% fine, then goes down again pretending to be hurt

PATHETIC little kid. He will get laughed at loads at school, and I'm convinced he'll be on the end of some stupid challenges. Karma boy, you will be on the end of it.

Interesting insight into how people can look at the same thing and see completely different things.

Hazard didn't kick the ball, it was miles away. <doh>

Time wasting or not, Provoking or not,
    Kicking at the ball or the ball boy made contact or not. Hazard should not have kicked out. Hes a professional footballer representing the game and Chelsea, the boy is in school in an environment where his team could get to Wembley;

Hazard's made himself look stupid and childish when by walking away the stupidity would be all the boy boys.

Imagine the situation...We're at the Carrot Patch in a semi, some little inbred scummer **** ball boy hangs on to the ball trying to be the Budgie hero and gets the ball kicked out of his hands by one of ours, and rolls around like Grant Holt on acid...

Would we have any sympathy for the ball boy?

    Would we ****! <laugh>

What a waste of police time IMO, 2 mistakes both have apologised to each other!! I hope it's a situation in the end that is looked upon light heartedly

If he had a Norwich badge on his tracksuit Welly, it'd be different whoever they were playing, but he didn't <ok>

If you kicked someone in the street you'd be prosecuted. If you lay on a ball in the street you would not.

Why should anyone think doing it at a football match, in front of millions of TV witnesses will be any different?

Hazard or Hazzard or whatever his name is, is a twat for doing it. He must have known he'd be sent off for it, reducing his club's chances of winning, which makes him a double twat.

Bradford v Swansea final! Come on England!!!

Bit if a dilemma this one cos I'd like to see Swansea lift a trophy, get into Europe and improve on what is already a great team to watch.

On the other hand, fourth division side winning the League Cup (I would say major trophy but that would invalidate any Canary-baiting)? Yes please.

    Win, win.

What the ballboy said (sang) to Eden Hazard:

"I felt you kick me Eden
I held the ball, doesn't thrill me at all
So tell me why, should it be true
That I got a kick out of you?"

This has turned into a bit of a farce. Best headline pun so far: Boots of Hazard.
