MICHAELS NOOK 5.05 Kempton 15-2 has a stunning chance in my opinion. He has gradually slipped to a very handy mark and even dropped further recently following decent placed efforts. He ran a fair race here in a better grade only 5 days ago when looking like he would definitely benefit from stronger handling, Luke Morris takes over from the lass tomorrow and that for me is the key for making him well worthy of a decent punt. Seven furlongs is his trip and having gone well here in the past there are no fears of him handling the surface. He is a winner twice off 50 and races tomorrow off 48, win number three is definitely on the cards!
Great question. Gets his conditions. If Bog Warrior beats Zaidpour then I think we have a legitimate World Hurdle contender on our hands. I would not mind seeing Zaidpour win by a few lengths to boost Monkslands form, but we will see.
4:35 SONGBIRD BLUES 14/1 is a 20 race maiden but her best career efforts to date have been at Kempton off a mark of 52, when beaten only a neck over course and distance. She runs off that same mark effectively here as Rach Knellers claim knocks 5lb off the OR of 57, and I think back at this venue 14/1 is an each-way bit of value.
Toppy. Agree about Monksland. Zaidpour's a doubtful stayer for me so if he's in a battle at the end he'll lose but I don't think he should be his current 5/4. Solid midweek bet for me.
Won't be betting in this but the 1st at Gowran is really interesting despite the small field. Three dominant last time out winners. One, a highly rated Mullins odds on shot, one gambled heavily and the third a Giggy runner who looked the part so far. Really looking forward to it.
I'd rather be on zaidpour tomorrow. He is proven at the top level and gets the trip well enough even if it isnt completely ideal. Bog Warrior on the other hand also has stamina question marks and is yet to be really proven at the top level in my opinion. I may well be wrong (i usually am) but zaidpour for me
Morning guys a little double for me today GINGER FIZZ 6.05 kempton 6/1 ran a respectable third on handicap debut plus I also like the name lol and KING GEORGE RIVER 3.15 lingfield 3/1 Alan bailey tends to get his new horses in good shape after their first run when they join his stable good luck if you play
I will be venturing over the top today to play CAPTAIN KENDALL (advised last night on Twitter @Appraiseform) in the 2.45 at Lingfield this top rated Appraiseform horse is open to further improvement and can complete a hatrick of wins. Youll be glad to know Adam Carter doesnt ride this one! Follow on Twitter @Appraiseform for the all critical staking plan.
For all us sand lovers out there, cough, cough, splutter... ahem... Ones to avoid at Lingers later today... 1.15 - Dark Lane, 4/9 1.45 - First Love, 15/8 2.15 - We Are City, 7/1 - or should that be Citeh, or ****ty... 2.45 - Avonmore, 13/2 3.15 - Club House, 9/2 3.45 - Danzoe, 13/2 4.15 - Liberty Love, 9/4 No bets, but who knows whats going to happen on the AW anyway... Good luck if you do...
Afternoon guys, today I'm sticking with Scott Dixon who seems to be selecting his runners and races carefully. Today he has another runner at Lingfield who one again is the mount of Ian Monaghan who just failed on my selection DOCOFTHEBAY yesterday. Today's choice runs in the 2.45 Lingfield CHOKIDAR. 20/1 EW, who returns after a lengthy break and looks to be reasonably well handicapped and worth a little EW money for a horse that has C&D form
As it happens, I have been trying to find a lively outsider for this one as well. My punt goes to Tarquinius, currently 28-1 with Victor
15:25 Gowran Park - Son Amix (Just completed a good look at the Thyestes Chase myself, and have lumped on Son Amix. LTO run over hurdles should have got him spot on. Could be wrong, but the Thyestes does not look so strong this year? 12-1 generally available at the moment, with 14-1 in one or two places).
you've lumped on in the Thyestes? The search is over. Jong has the biggest balls on the forum. Great race in Ireland.
