Cottager what's wrong? Have you lost faith? I would try the old 4-4-2 with Schwarzer Riether Hughes Hangeland Riise (bring him back) Duff Kara Sidwell Kaca Ruiz Berba Lets see if the two messiahs can actually link up font and cause some trouble. Come on Fulham.
Not at all Madness. It was meant to be tongue in cheek; after calling for Clattenburg at the Chelsea game we got him twice in as many weeks and he gave us nothing (well aginst Wigan anyway). So far as the game is concerned I hope we take on board exactly what Steve Sidwell said, âItâs a break from the league and we need to go up there, not sit back and try and play our football.â And I'd agree with your 4-4-2 but with Baird instead of Kaca.
I think the best we an hope for is a draw and a replay at the Cottage. I'm going to the match and looking forward to it but think a draw is the best we can hope for.
Yeah looks a good team from Madness, any news on when Diarra is fit again ? We need to get on Carrick and stop him controlling the game.
I would like to have it as an away win to remember since I will be there! Also if the chance comes we need to grab it with both hands.
As I said after United put West Ham out, we draw 1-1 at Old Trafford then win 2-0 at the Cottage. And if we do, someone will moan that we'd have done better to save the win for the forthcoming league game. There's no pleasing some people.
Then they wonder why away fans are not going to the games any more! It costs a minimum of £100 without food or drinks and transportation to Euston...
Richardson is out. Diarra another 3 -4 weeks. "Kieran Richardson is out with his left calf," he stated. "[Mahamadou] Diarra is still out and that will continue over the next three or four weeks with his left knee. Also, Kerim Frei’s still got his pelvic muscle problem." Jol also said in today's press interview that he has no option but to play the same team as last week. So the only obvious change is at LB. Here is the Club's report of the interview and his reasons why we "hopefully" will get a result - http://www.fulhamfc.com/news/2013/january/24/jols-cup-preview
I swear I have seen more backwards and sideways passes from ****well and Baird then I have seen forward passes.
Agreed we were painstakingly slow, I may be taken down a bit for this, but United were there for the taking in the first half, a bit more zip to our play and we could have punished them. That said, United were playing with us, when they decided to play in the second half we could ot handle them. Berbatov has to put more effort in if he is play up top, too many times we were in an attacking position but there was no-one in or around the box to pass to, where was Berbatov, strolling around the centre circle. We need an out and out striker so Berbatov and Ruiz can play behind him.
