Excellent article says it all really. It's not the first and it won't be the last either but it does make some of the comments from some in the English press look very out of touch and out of date. One day we will all thank NC for his planning! The good times are just starting.

Good find on the article. Slightly off topic, but still about Pochettino (don't feel it's needs a whole new thread) - there has been lots of comments about he English, or rather lack of. Something I noticed during the Everton game was that he spent a decent amount of time in the technical area giving instructions to the players. Also, several players have mentioned having discussions with him. Obviously some of this could be him speaking Spanish to our Spanish speaking players, but also there could be an element of not wanting to make a mistake with the press.

All too often a slight mis-translation can lead to the press running wild with the comments, therefore, while his English may not be great he may also just be using a translator for official / press work to ensure he's not misquoted while dealing with the players in English. Of course all this could be wrong, and maybe he actually doesn't speak any English?

Your quite right. At worst, he has a basic level of English at his disposal.

Think you got it right in the first paragraph. He said at his first press conference he would not be ashamed to make mistakes in front of the squad.

But he has to be careful in front of the press as we know what they can be like.

BBC showed him walking onto the pitch and talking to Rickie shortly before kick-off. He also spoke to Morgan and Luke mid-game. They understood.
