FT at Swansea. Swansea v Bradford final. Who on earth could have seen that coming at the start of the season!

The ballboy is on Twitter. Actively stated he would do something like that and waste time.

    Self-confessed "LAD" and "ballboy king".

Congratulations to Swansea. In just a few years, they have become a settled PL side and are now in the League Cup Final. Good that a different team will win the Cup whatever happens.

Off the ball incident apparently, no replays of it according to the text feed.

Seems like he might have landed on his head or neck, I don't know if anyone else was involved.

The best bit about the League Cup is that they use the song Inner Smile by Texas during Sky's tv coverage. Much better than that crap they use for the Premier League.

I guess he got a result that even he hadn't hoped for then.

Chelsea FC on Twitter: "Has football gone mad? Hazard is sent off for kicking the ball under a ball boy attempting to smother the ball rather than return it."

'Hazard is going to have the book thrown at him. Doesn't matter that the boy was holding on to the ball...he was a grown man kicking at a young lad whilst wearing football boots.

    Hopefully Potts is ok.

As for Hazard I don't think he meant to hurt the ballboy at all in his defence

Don't be fooled, the lad was delaying returning the ball, but Hazard clearly kicked him in the ribs. Salako says it's the ball boys fault! This is going to run and run, gives the papers something bleat about.

Yeah I'm usually up for criticising Hazard but while his actions will ill-advised, the ball boy was a dick and I have no sympathy for him.

But he did, the kid was in the wrong but there is no call for thuggery like that.

They've just said on Sky that the ball boys looked like they had been instructed to hold the ball up...Hoddle says normal practice when you are winning in a game like this. There is no excuse for Hazard...you do not kick out like that. Didn't matter what his intention was..he risked hurting a young lad. He should have tried to get it with his hands. There will be serious repercussions from this.
