4-2-3-1 Chelsea: Cech; Azpilicueta, Ivanovic, Cahill, Cole; Ramires, Lampard; Oscar, Mata, Hazard; Ba. Subs; Turnbull, Luiz, Terry, Bertrand, Ferreira, Marin, Torres.

    De Guzman
    Ki Sung-Yeung

    MATCH FACTS

    Head-to-head

Prior to the first leg, Swansea had only once beaten Chelsea at Stamford Bridge (in any competition), a 3-1 Division Two victory when the clubs first met back in November 1925.
The last two matches between the clubs (before the first leg) ended in 1-1 draws (both in the Premier League at the Liberty Stadium).

    Swansea

Swansea have reached the semi-finals of the League Cup for the first time in their history, and had never before reached the last eight.
They were knocked out of the League Cup at the second-round stage last season by Shrewsbury Town (then in League Two).
Never before in 100 years has the club won a major trophy.
They have scored 12 goals in their five matches so far in this cup run: 3-1 at home to Barnsley, 3-2 at Crawley, 3-1 away to Liverpool, 1-0 at home to Middlesbrough, and 2-0 away at Chelsea.

    Chelsea

They last reached the League Cup semi-finals in 2008, when they beat Everton to reach the final - only to lose to Tottenham.
The Blues won the League Cup for the fourth time a year earlier, in 2007. Only Liverpool (eight) and Aston Villa (five) have won the competition more often.
Chelsea have scored a total of 16 goals in eliminating Wolves, Manchester United and Leeds in their previous League Cup ties this season.

You sink to a new low, kicking a ball boy when hes on the ground, just when you think you cant have a worse opinion of a club, they manage to out do themselves.

To be fair to Barton, he only hits adults.

    And youth team players.

Barton kicked a player, not a child! Don't expect Hazard to play again this season, but then again he'll probably get away with just a 3 game ban!

You're so blind you actually think he wanted to kick the lad in a harmful way, he was quite obviously trying to get the ball back. If he's big enough to cheat and stop a professional game he's big enough to risk that.

I don't believe the kid is even hurt.

It doesn't matter if he wanted or didn't want to kick the lad in a harmful way, the fact is he did kick him.
