Put it another way...are there any silks that people think the owners are colourblind or tasteless?...there are some dreadful racing silks out there.

Last wager of the day - Hellesbelles in the Ayr bumper. Reminds me of Carry On ABroad <laugh>

Dutched it with the market springer Swingbridge

I'm going to invest some of the winnings in Petra EW at 20/1. Seems a big price for a horse that wasn't disgraced on debut. I quite like Liam Keniry as a jockey

There is a formula bookies use to work out computer straight forecasts. Which takes into account, not just the prices of the first and second, but all the others. As well as other factors such as how many outsiders int the race, If one of them was a favorite. And many more elements. It really is very complex. You would have to be a maths professor to work it out.

Dex, I seem to recall Lady Beaverbrook's colours as Brown with a pale blue or beige crossbelts, carried by a horse who I remember running in the first Derby I saw at Epsom. The horse was called Minster Son and the race won by Kharsyei (apologies as always for spelling). I think Jim Joels were all black but with a pale blue or red hat and Maori Venture rings a bell winning the National in them. Others I remember well were the all peach or Howard de Waldon, and sadly upon the death of Prince Faisal we lost the beautiful Generous bottle green colours. There was also another Shiekh's colours that were very nice indeed, The same as Shiekh Hamdans but a nice maroon with white epulets.

    Well remembered Blue.

I think the Beaverbrook livery had green crossbelts.

Jim Joel's silks were topped with a red cap and were carried to victory in the National are you rightly say.I also remember other NH stalwarts who raced for him such as Door Latch and I just about recall Beacon Light.

Joel also had considerable success on the flat with the likes of classic winning filly Fairy Footsteps.

Shame we don't see any of the colours these days.

Although I do not think they have been retired just yet the once most famous colours in flat Racing, those of Robert Sangster are seen rarely nowdays.

Cheers for the earlier congrats fellas- just got home to seer the replay, great ride AP <applause>

One speculative dabble this evening, but not one without logic, is Soweto Star 7.30 Kempton. Always looked in need of a step up in trip over 1m, and I backed this when it was rated in the 70s around a year ago. Now that the step up in trip has happened, and it has tumblewd down into a mark of the 50s, I think it could so very easily strike soon and I have gone and taken some very dazzling 48s on the exchanges.

One to keep tabs on in the next couple of starts if today isnt the day <ok>

When his horses win they do win at big odds.

I remember Maktoum-Al-Maktoum's colours, similar to Hamdan's but with a pale blue chevron I think - owned Rock Hopper amongst others

Have a look here swifty - streams usually available just before racing starts - there is already a link for Thursday's ATR & RUK feeds but no stream links there yet - should be about 1 hour before the first race tomorrow

I was about to say that the 9/1 on Panther Claw (Lad & BV) won't last long. And it disappeared before my eyes, both marking him down to 7/1. 8's still available with SJ and BS if anyone is interested.

I'm amazed that the local police allowed Chelsea to start Ba tonight. Don't they know the effect the baa-noise has on a crowd of excitable Welshmen in cold weather ?

Just thinking. surely one of Panther Claw or Outlaw Pete must either win or place in the 15.25 at GP.

With 5/1 the former and 8/1 the latter an each way on both doesn't seem too great a risk.
