Amazing news. The press were making it sound like a cash-in was inevitable. If the club can hold onto its best players then there's every chance Swansea can cement its place at the top end of the league.

    Laudrup next hopefully!

This is fantastic news - well done Michu, you Jack b*****d!!!!

Seriously impressed with all concerned at the Liberty. Hats off to Huw, the Board, and of course to Michael Laudrup.

Is there a better run club in the country? Nope!

    And what perfect timing!!!!

No doubt he got a well deserved pay rise to make him on equal par with the club top earners, and who knows, a possible high release clause to protect the club. It will help ML realise he is in a 'happy place' also.

Bl00dy 'ell didn't see that coming! Great news!!

I thought his body language had looked a bit despondent recently and worried that being played out of his preferred position was starting to annoy him, shows what I know! You absolutely wonderful, Jack b*****d!

Superb news! Will help bat away all those supporters of other clubs that insist that he has to want to leave...

Can someone get on the phone to Chris Coleman and tell him the good news?...

Abso f***ing Brilliant news! As Cillbot said, Laudrup next would be the icing on the cake, now who said Michu would be off? This MAY shut the Troll(s) up and disprove some theories that we are just a selling club. Come On ! Seven more points , financial stability and Huw for Prime Minister as Michael is already king! Nurse ! my medication please!

Excellent news. Not only do we secure a great player but if he does leave within his contract then the longer the term left means more money

Lock in Laudrup for a couple more years too and I won't be able to contain myself

Yeah, no doubt they've upped his wages as an incentive for him to stay and increased the length of his contract so that if/when he does leave we'll get more cash. Good business all-round.
