Oh lets not kid ourselves, Remy only joined because we price matched Newcastle and then some. Remy must have thought why not give it a go with the bottom club - he could up his worth by scoring 10 or more goals with our remaining fixtures. Yes, it's grim up north, and yes, they love their football. I was at St. James' Park, and it was evident, from the Toon supporters I spoke to : no matter what the situation the club find themselves in - they [the fans] will turn up - 30k upwards. How many came to watch our capital one game at home to Walsall : around 6k turned up [myself included] it was an embarrassment, so much so that we even closed the Ellerslie Road Stand. So in summary, great that Remy chose us, and if he can score a few more goals the better. The fact he chose West London over the North East of England was more to do with money than location - but I'm ok with that too. Anyway that all I wanted to say.
