If he keeps developing at this rate one day he'll be as good as Graham Potter.

It's a massive honour to get into Garth Crooks team of the week. I am sure Luke will have shed tears of joy on hearing the news.

No surprise, some of his runs last night we're immense yet again!! Has the ability to literally run us out of trouble and i must admit i don't feel too worried when the opponents are attacking down his flank.

Last night they mentioned him several times on Sky, but (for once) didn't mention that he was a target for Chelsea/Arsenal/ManU (delete as applicable). In fact, he put the ball out of play and they pointed out he'd made a mistake. Only a little one, he was trying to play it out off a defender...nearly came off. Such a mature player...will bomb forward but never neglects defence. Pacy little devil as well.

The stream I was watching had a discussion with Gareth Southgate and Andy Townsend after the game (presumably this wasn't the Sky panel?) and they were both firmly agreed that the best thing for Luke is to keep playing football, i.e. don't move to a "big" club and disappear. They both agreed that he should stay at Southampton until he is 21 at least, by which time he should be genuinely world-class.

There was a piece on Sky where Gary Neville showed how all the United players glared at De Gea when he let in the late goal against Spurs. He said that there would be no arms round shoulders...and added it's a very unforgiving dressing room. Not the place for a developing young player...some might respond, but many would fold.

Luke was sublime last night, he is getting more comfortable in this league by the game. His runs forward were fantastic, because he ran with such power and purpose. Deserves all the plaudits coming his way, a brilliant young player.

Do the statistics say how many runs Puncheon had?

Luke Shaw is a massive talent who hasn't reached his full potential. If he's seen as a future England left back then he should be picked for the U20 World Cup this year.

I know it's a little off topic but you read the rest of Garf Crooks he talks about Sturridge and he and Suarez could be a 40 goal partnership the likes not seen since Keegan/Toshack and Rush/Dalglish.

Am I missing something or did Liverpool not have the Beardsley/Aldridge combo.

The mention of Toshack reminds me that Toshack in Turkish means Bollocks which i think quite nicely ties in with most of what Garth Crooks writes!
