Talking of Channons, imagine if Mauricio had to make sense of what Michael had to say during a team talk!
Mancini started with a translator did people slag off or call Man City stupid for appointing a manager who new only basic english? Nope I think not.
I think that's it, more than anything else. Watching him during interviews, he clearly has some comprehension of the question, and he's spoken fractured English before. I think his main reason for the interpreter is, well, I can do it fluently through him, or you can pick up awkward simple sentences through my very limited knowledge.
At least he is learning English, there's a lot of foreign players that play here that can't be arsed to.
He'll learn. Most of the players speak English and it wouldn't surprise me to see him make it the language of the trainin groun to avoid confusion.
I didn't see the interpreter near the touchline much at all. Mauricio seemed to be regularly communicating on his own with the team. On occasion I saw him talk to Jesús Pérez, who then shouted.
He can talk more English then people think, I think he just uses the interperter for interviews so he explains himself properly.
