He is a goner but not until the end of the season in my opinion.

If I were MA, I would rather do my hiring for a new manager in the summe when there is a full crop available rather than in a hurried week and a half, with only the long term unemployed available as prospects.

The chances are still better than even we'll be up in May - - look then

exactly we cant afford to rock the boat right now, however I'd be sharpening the knives for the moment the summer arrives.

I'd for him via text message for maximum affect.

Great comment under that newspaper article from a fan:

"never criticise us the fans, who incidentally are the best in our game, while you lot are not in yours"

It all depends on who they might have their eye on to replace him and whether their preferred options are available now or no. If they think the timing is right now (eg Adkins, DiMatteo, etc) then who knows?

Of course, it could be a genuine vote of confidence. I mean, Ashley & Derek never follow the usual rules of football club management, so why would they get the 'dreaded' vote of confidence concept?

Same here - no thanks to Di Matteo - cannot see the obsession with this guy - average to useless with West Brom and then flukes to the CL Final with a squad far better than ours!

Roberto Di Matteo has class written all over him. He got West Brom promoted playing pretty good football as I remember (we couldn't beat them) and did get Chelsea improved, though they did focus on the Champions League towards the end of the season - which is now permanently engraved in the column of major trophies won ...

Compare the squad he had at Chelsea, could he have won the CL with West Brom? No, and that is more like our squad, not Chelsea.

He wasn't turning over any trees at West Brom in the Premier League, they were almost as bad as we are now.
