We've lost to Man City,ChelseaLiverpool and West Brom all by single goals apart from today.West Ham by a single goal when we were playing against C**tenburg as well.We are still 7 points off 18th place and 11 ahead of 'arry's Big Time Charlies.I would be more worried if we had lost at home to Reading.
Liverpool tonked you 5-2 at your place so how is that by a single goal I know the education system in Norfolk is a bit dodgy...
Wrong on more than one level JWM.If you read my post again I qualified Liverpool by "Apart from today" Also your geography is dodgy because Lowestft isn't in Norfolk.Last laugh etc.
I do think that we could easily get dragged into the mire but all teams have good and bad runs and so we are getting jittery maybe slightly unnecessarily. All games are big in the PL but we have some home games to come where we should be looking at a decent return - Villa, Saints, Reading, and Fulham. The game at QPR is massive as well. We have slipped badly though there's no denying.
It's going to be very tight at the bottom this year gents. We are at last starting to look like a team. Under Harry we will fight until the end but I fear we will just run out of games. A few points makes all the difference and ye have a good head start on us. Personally I think Houghton is a decent manager and ye will stay up by the skin of your teeth.
Whilst being prepared to wholly eat my words come the end of the season I can see the current botom three staying there. I suspect that QPR will have a decent run at some stage but they are a couple of results adrift and teams at the bottom generally don't go on barnstorming runs. I think that as the previous poster states we probably have enough of a head start on the bottom three - we still have a fair cushion despite losing four of our last five. I am not sure that there are three poorer squads than our current one (not a criticism but quite a few squad players played in League 1 for us) but our organisation under CH and the spirit inherited from Lambert and personnified by Holt make up for a lack of top-flight quality and, on the assumption we can stay up, we can build on the quality with our coffers flowing with Sky's cash.
I've always enjoyed browsing peoples posts on here, but this thread has really pissed me off. Stop being such whinging bastards. This was a one off against a good side, it happens in the prem. If you wanna be here deal with it. We've had a tricky run of recent and only lost by the odd goal appart from on Saturday. Think where we were not long ago and remind yourself how bad it can actually be. FFS support the team and don't disregard CH after a few loses. Quite regularly at games, infact pretty much every game I go to people talk absolute carp around me, don't start doing it on here, where usually people are quite reasonable. This isn't aimed at everyone, just the knee-jerk reaction crew.
First and foremost welcome minty I appreciate what you're saying about losing by the odd goal etc. etc., but to be fair the writing has been on the wall for some time. I think there are many of us who feel that Hughton's lack of a plan 'B' and the fact he always seems to leave it far too late before he attempts to change things is the real concern. Having said that, I'm not calling for his head or anything like that, but unless performances, let alone results, improve I can see many doing so.
I know you can't judge on half a game, but damn Southampton are playing well. It's a little early, but perhaps Cortese got this appointment right?
DH they could've easily been three or four up at half time. Couldn't watch the second half as had to head out but just seen its 0-0 still. Are Saints still bombarding them or have they run out of puff? More importantly please for christsake bring back red and white stripes with black sorts and socks.
No Everton have had much more possession and the bulk of the chances this half, Southampton less impression, although they did just hit the crossbar. It looks like ending 0-0, when 3-3 would have been a fairer reflection of the number of chances made.
Desperately unlucky not to score, they'll be kicking themselves. I'm not really Cromer, I lived there for a while but I don't understand this all red thing, the kit colours are a nice bit of tradition.
Hampy, totally with u on the saints kit it's wrong on many levels Also don't like the koo pee are kit the hoops are two thin
No-one here likes anything QPR Always thought the whole challenge was to design kits within the parameters not to piss all over them, and then do whatever you want with the away kit, within the realms of decency.
Dear me, what are you all on about ? Of course there's 3 worse teams than you in fact it's a lot more than 3 teams. I don't think you'll go down and I don't want you to go down either. QPR and Reading look stuffed to me and Villa are in big trouble too. So cheer up lads and be positive , no way will you go down.
