Oh dear, thanks lads and sorry. I wasn't aware of that, I knew it had fell against HF but must have missed this news. Was without Internet for 5 months so that's prob why I missed it. RIP Go Native
15:35 Wolverhampton - Maypole Joe (Don't like Polytrack racing too much, but will have a bit on this top weight. As good a chance as any?).
Race wasn't run to suit Priors Gold at all and he had to sit an suffer for ages but have a lot of doubts about whether he was good enough. Disappointing.
Maypole Joe - Great Tipping Jongleaur. I think there may be value in the last at Wolves as if you ignore Dakota Canyon's last race, the one before was won by a much better horse than anything he opposes today, and he did not do too badly in finishing runner up. Wolverhampton 5.35 Dakota Canyon 10-1
Crap racing today but I'm having a crack at the last. Follow The Flag was only a nk behind Lean On Pete over C&D on latest outings and is 3lb better off this time; but the latter came from further back and was travelling much the faster at the finish to get up close home. I doubt the 3lb pull will cause a reversal of placings today. Should be close but Noble Jack ran a relatively faster time over 182 yds less over this course so could be an even bigger danger if he finishes as well over the bit extra. Lean On Pete (5/2 PP) however seems to like winning here and that combined with the finishing kick he showed from the back last time out should be enough to see him take this. PS I'm crap at this lark.
So basically we could very well see Binocular being ridden by Carberry then.... and we know what a brilliant rider he is... maybe Binocular would respond well to a different jockey with very different style. If Carberry does get the ride - its gonna be a steamer - I can see it now !!
Told you. Noble Jack was more than just a bigger danger. I thought as Lean On Pete was a bit closer up he would go on to win that but never looked like winning once NJ went past him on the outside. Must be very profitable laying my selections at the moment.
Think I just saw Quarter Moon on the Whitehouse lawn with a Barack Obama T-shirt on....hang on...maybe not....always get him mixed up with Forest Whitaker...
Looks like COTTON MILL must be the Pricewise horse for the Champion. I think I am right in saying that we havent seen him this season. He has had entries, the Ladbroke for one, but not an obvious choice as he has not reappeared. Did run well at the Festival last year until he ducked out!
