We are about to sign Habib Habibou‏, a 25 yo 6 foot 4 African powerhouse that both ourselves and QPR have been chasing. It looks as QPR have now lost interest as they have signed Remy. please log in to view this image (The ripped guy, not side show Bob) On his wiki page, it states :- Mouhamadou Habib Habibou (born April 16, 1987 in Bria, Central African Republic[SUP][2][/SUP]) is a Central African born football player who currently is under contract with SV Zulte Waregem. He has been in discussions to become a Leeds United player during the 2013 January transfer window, and it would seem Shaun Harvey has been working ever so hard. Whites fans see him as the next Tresor Kandol as he has a similar type of flair. During a Zulte-Waregem game against Lokeren Habibou grabbed and threw a duck over advertising hoardings because it had wandered onto the field.[SUP][3]. I'm not sure what to think. Whites fans see him as the next Kandol. We didn't want the first one, let alone a new one. After Tuesdays win over Birmingham, Habibou tweeted - Habib Habibou‏@HabibHabibou7 Dioufy score today good job bro Yes, we need a big target man, but not if that means we lose McCormack or Becchio, thoughts? [/SUP]
If they mean the next Yeboah, then yes please. If, however, they mean the next Kandol, then I think we'll hang on to what we've got. If he really is a 6ft 4 powerhouse then we'll see plenty of hoofball. But at least Becchio & co could expect him to win plenty of headers. So not too bad.
Unfortunately, I think the evidence points more to a new kandol. Having seen the clip, not sure his approach to duck removal will endear him to our nation of animal lovers
You know had bad life is as a Leeds fan, when you're getting excited that a potential signing can catch a duck. Particularly when it was literally a sitting one. Sad thing is, that most of our strikers regularly miss sitting ducks, so I can see your point.
@WhiteStarWhites: @HabibHabibou7 Où vous avez entendu à Elland Road hier en regardant le match? Toute la vérité? #MoT #lufc Asked was he at Elland road yesterday
Hopefully he could be similar to the likes of Lukaku and Benteke. Looks like an absolute monster. I don't think defenders would like the prospect of playing against him.
