perhaps i'm just being cynical and doing the young man a disservice, but everyone on here is putting a lot of weight on one vague sentence. in any case, i bet the £10million he got to play half a season's football has probably helped him through his tough time. if you can point me to actual proof that he's suffering from genuine mental health issues, i will of course retract everything i have said.

Agree totally, the cemeteries are full of poor people who had depression & other mental health issues.
Gazza had depression since he was a kid when his little mate got killed by a car. He's blamed himself ever since.

Some people just never get over things, there's a programme on Wednesday night about a young soldier who just couldn't cope with the severe PTSD he suffered in the aftermath of Afghanistan. He went off & hung himself, 20 years old.

Can I ask you something BSC, if you were in severe physical pain & nobody could help you, would you rather go on suffering or end it all?
Mental pain is just as bad as physical, sometimes worse, you should try some of the nightmares I get.
I've woken at times with my hand around the throat of the woman I loved. Not nice.
You need to grow up & I hope you never have to go through it.

****ing shaking as I type this.

It is this right here that shows your complete lack of understanding and ignorance on the issue.

I bet, he couldn't give a **** about the money and would probably have thoughts about setting fire to the ****ing lot of it when he's in the dark places. You see when your in the dark places, it's kind of like you will go to whatever level necessary to cause more pain and misery on yourself, or others.
