He's still trying to insinuate the fans didn't help things.

which might be true, when the side is struggling the fans should be getting behind them more for the confidence boost

I just watched the full video on NUFC.CO.UK

He didn't say the fans cost us, all he said is that there was a negative feeling around the team and in the ground, and his subs were greeted with boos and he has to accept that.

I had to laugh with Tash's video (not at Tash i might add, which has been closed but still can be seen)
    but Shola
he said that they have been working hard in training <yikes>
if he didn't work as hard at training then he might keep a bit of energy for the game when it's needed
the lazy bastard (sorry but he just boils my .............)

I don't think booing would help subs coming on?! Not their faults??! If you want to boo Pardew save it for the end. Get behind the team and try and lift them.

The crowd didn't help things, I agree with that. I know we're allowed to vent our frustration, but after the game is more practical. Imagine how Bigi felt coming on.

You were booing your own subs? That's ridiculous. Surely not.

Their best? Really? In that case, they simply aren't good enough to stay up. Simple.

The fans have been so patient watching this ****, it's hard to be sympathetic towards Pardew. The crowd is tired of it. I was gutted the atmosphere was so **** second half, but that's partly a problem of modern football as well. Family orientated seated sections, typical vocal fans of yesteryear are in the minority, and on a massive scale in a 52,000 stadium. Prices really aren't conducive to the working class choir.

Another part really is just the inevitability of the team losing from a losing position. There's just never going to be any other result under Pardew with these character-depleted players. It's just robbed everyone who does sing of their voices.

Really, really heartbroken. I've had a ST since the championship year, we've gone up and up and up since then, and now the cycle is close to coming full circle and it's destroying me.

Pardew cannot survive the "You don't know what your doing chants", no way. Not many managers have done so, and it's effectively the end of his reign, whether Mike fails to sack him immediately or not. He will be gone soon.

Looks very much like you might be watching Championship football again next season.

I really loved the championship season, and not just because we won loads. The opposition fans aren't glory supporting tossers, and there's less of the self-important elite chin-wagging at home games over business deals because they have no interest in football. I'd not really mind being relegated if we played to our best and just weren't good enough. The problem is going down playing crap. It's just pitiful and becoming inevitable.

Charlton fan in peace. Pardew did exactly the same at Charlton, criticising the fans and blaming us for his own failures. Once he even blamed us when we gave Dean Kiely (Charlton legend) a round of applause when he appeared at the Valley for another club. What he said today is probably his opening salvo. When he eventually did get sacked he demanded every penny he was entitled to, which nearly finished us off after he and Dowie had already impoverished us with a string of bad buys. And your chairman gave him an 8-year contract!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Enjoyed the Championship too, went to all the games and always got on well with the home fans.

Derby, Preston and Coventry were probably my three favourite trips.
