From the wing-back 3-5-2, there are arguments for it: 1. Wendesday figured us out & countered our passing game by using big physical presences 2. Most teams know how we play and are clued up on it by now 3. Elmohamady has gone & so we've lost our most effective wing back Maybe Bruce will consider a 4-4-2? or stick with the above formation using Rosenior & Brady (although Rosie doesn't possess the crossing quality of Elmo)
I think given the circumstances he will go 4-3-1-2: Stockdale Rosenior Hobbs Chester Brady Meyler Evans Quinn Koren Proschwitz Simpson
I think we wil get drawn into a long ball game with Peterborough, and the pitch will be heavy after this snow, so we will find it hard to play our passing game.. id try and get as many crosses in for prozzie and knock downs for simpson
#hcafc team: Stockdale, Bruce, McShane, Chester, Brady, Rosenior, Quinn, Koren, Meyler, Proschwitz, Simpson.
Must have at least one of Hobbs or Faye playing when available. Although Bruce and The ginge have been good this season I don't like seeing them on the team sheet together unless its absolutely necessary
Probably not, but we conceded 3 against Wednesday and it could have been more. Macca and Bruce played well in mid-week so SB is ringing the changes. Fair enough in my book.
Only point 3 has any relevance. People on here have got an obsession with teams 'figuring us out' so we need to change the way we play every few weeks. It's ridiculous. No other team does that do they? Leicester and Cardiff for example are playing well and winning every week yet every manager will know the system they play. That's because it isn't as simple as just 'stopping teams playing' just because you know what formation they'll play. We've lost Elmo so we need to replace him, that is all.
