Remy will wage 'war' for QPR... but could make quick exit if they go down By David Kent PUBLISHED: 23:09 GMT, 18 January 2013 | UPDATED: 23:35 GMT, 18 January 2013 Comments (0) Share . . Loic Remy is ready to âgo to warâ to help QPR escape relegation. But the clubâs record signing has refused to guarantee that he will stick around if Rangers fail to beat the drop. Remy will make his QPR debut in todayâs clash against West Ham, following his £8million arrival this week and said: âI am ready for a battle and war, giving everything I can. In six months I donât want to have any regrets. âIâm here for the moment and I donât really want to think about relegation. If that time comes my agent and QPR will sit down and talk about that.â He also denied his move was about money. He said: 'The finance doesn't come into it at all because Newcastle offered me a very good contract as well. 'I've seen that a lot of people are surprised I came to QPR and say that I came here for money, but my decision was no way based on financial reasons. 'I could have stayed at Marseille because I had a good contract there. There are a number of reasons for why I had to leave Marseille for here. 'QPR were very open, they wanted me and it's great to be here. 'It's true that I hesitated between Newcastle and QPR. I went to meet the staff at Newcastle and there came a time to make a decision and I made that decision based on two factors. 'Firstly I already knew the coach Harry Redknapp and secondly, I'm very excited by the project QPR have here for the future. 'It's a big challenge and the team are in a difficult situation, but since Harry Redknapp has been here things have changed a great deal.'
Okaaay... so it WASN'T the money, it was 'The Project' that swung it! Fact that Newcastle already have all that in place didn't come into the equation though? Come on Remy, time to stop the nonsense and get them shooting boots tuned up and doing the talking for you.
Who cares if its for the money or not? And secondly Newcastle do not already have all that....all they have is a big stadium filled with load geordies. In terms of a football team and potenital success moving forwards, we are on par with Newcastle, but with better future prospects if we stay up.
If we do go down(a good chance we probably will)..Then I bloody well hope he doesnt stick around on his wages and his resale value!
