    Just got a text from one of my mates saying Darren Bent has been seen going into a hospital in Newcastle. Medical maybe?

    Don't shoot the messenger but apparently he got a picture off him from someone who works there.

    What do you think of this?

    Hmmm, Bent + Shola line up vs the mackems. I can see the look on the poor fans' faces now.



    I wouldn't ordinarily go for Bent as a Toon player, but right now, I'd take anyone who can score goals in the prem, so given current circumstances, yes I'd cheer him on in black and white.

    Mick Quinn was one dimensional too and we loved him. We need to stay up and if Bent came in and scored 10-15 goals in the second half of the season, why not.

    He scores goals. That's what he's always done. If it comes off, even as a stop gap, we should welcome him. Bent or Shola (or even Sammy or Ranger), I know who'd I'd pick.

    Mick Quinn was a good 2nd tier striker and sadly the game has moved on a bit. For the money you'd have to shell out in transfer fees and wages, Bent and his one dimensional game would represent a huge error in my opinion. I'd rather have some quality. A bit of raw pace, power and an ability to lead the line would be nice.

    He was at the basketball yesterday. Travel conditions are ideal at the moment for a quick jaunt up the country to for a medical, which then takes time to filter through to become a post on here at 1.16.

    Best years behind him. Plus you (on past form) wouldn't pay the fee (10-12m) or wages (at least 50-60,000)...Also doesn't like it up here however might still have his flat next to the Baltic which would save hima few bob. (like he needs it)

    Anyone doubt if we had had Leon Best in the squad still we probably would have gotten something out of this game? Same goes for Guthrie really. No issues with both Perch and Bigi but they're defensive players. We have absolutely no passers in the team aside from Cabs and that is why we're losing games.
