<tongueincheek> I've heard Joe Mattock's not getting much of a run in the Sheffield Wednesday side... <tongueincheek>
"Sky Sports understands Manchester United are running the rule over Leicester City's Jefferey Schlupp. United are thought to see Schlupp as a possible signing for left-back and Sir Alex Ferguson's coaching staff are casting an eye over him in training". I thought he was a striker? Or has the rumour been ****ed up seriously on the way through and they've actually taken Moore on trial?
He was employed as a LB under Sven in his first pre-season with the club. Since then, he's probably been played more in the first team as a LB than a striker, which is his 'natural' role.
He has played left back for us a number of times. This season Paul Konchesky missed 3 or 4 games and Schlupp stepped in superbly. I dont think he will cut it as a striker at the minute with Nugent, Wood, Waghorn, Vardy and Futacs all ahead of him But he does look a very decent prospect for left back but im not sure about Man U
Had to check the date ... thought I might have been hibernating and it was 1st April! ... wow .. lost for words and that's not like me!! LOL
They will be our "league rivals" next season if we get promoted, because we'd be in the same league. We'll be battling for six points against them just like we will against every other team - I'm not suggesting we will be competing against them for the championship(!) but potentially making their job of beating us all the easier doesn't exactly fill me with "pride". I know all footballers like to play at the highest level possible and I can certainly understand why he would make the move, I just don't like the though of one of our players acting like Shlupp is being pulled out of the slum of Leicester City to work in the palace of Manchester United. It's this that offends me, assuming that this is what Moore is talking about. I think it's quite unprofessional. Bloody Twitter again...
Pearson just said that Schlupp is at United to train for a week (not on loan or trial). What exactly is our relationship with United? Seems very strong...
Colchester United? Hartlepool United? Newcastle United? Rotherham United? Scunthorpe United? Carlisle United?
@StringerSport: Nigel Pearson confirmed live on BBC Radio Leicester that @Jeffrey_Schlupp is training with #mufc Man Utd for a week
