Most likely, about half the city team have abandoned their cars in an effort to get to the game and Boro's bus took 2 hours for a 10 minute normal bus journey. Horrendous weather here.
Give over. We hit the post 3 times and their keeper kept them in it. Would have been so typical if they'd fluked the equaliser.
He never looked like scoring the penalty. He looked nervous, titted around with his boots just prior to his run up and never looked at the keeper. I was never that great a player but my penalty conversion rate stands at 100%. I'm therefore better than Marvin. Leadbetter should have taken it.
Ah well, a win tomorrow would see us back in second and five points ahead of Boro. There's a long way to go yet.
Schmeichel, gotta love him. Been great for us since joining from Leeds. I expect us to be back in 3rd spot after you win at Peterborough tomorrow (weather pemitting) Any news if that game is likely to go ahead?
Yeah Yeah course you do... too busy coming on our board every waking hour to have time to go to the match ! More like couldn't be bothered to set off early and get to the game - seeing as it was on Sky!
at least anyone at the ground today would have been guaranteed to get a balti pie lol. normally the muppets sell out too quickly. Still smiling with that win tonight! Can enjoy my weekend now at the beach!
Don't know how many true fans Lesster have, but presumably many of them will have been forced to miss tonight's game and their club put profit first by playing the game without them. Will they be refunding passholders who tried to attend but couldn't?
I live half way between Hull and York, I've been going to City since the 70's and I've never missed a home game due to the weather. It was a bit cold, no ****er turned up as it was on the telly, don't pretend a bit of snow kept everyone away. If you need me tomorrow, I'll be in Peterborough.
We are flattered... 6 pages on your forum... for a team you don't care about !this game should of never taken place... tonight was a total farce for the fans.. first home game I have missed for 6 years... thanks to sky.. Im just hoping now that nigel can make us less boring...
Awesome. Unfortunately for me I didn't finish til later than usual which meant I had to come home and get ready to go leaving time short as it was. I wasn't prepared to risk getting there 10 minutes towards the end. I aplaud you for it. But when I found out that it took Middlesborough's bus 2 hours for a 10 minute journey and i'm well over half an hour away on a good day, I called it a day and knocked it on the head. Please don't try to act arrogant about it, I tried and couldn't do it. The last time we had the same fixture we played Bristol City on a friday night with the same ticket deal and managed 28k. 'A bit of snow' Good one.
What time are you setting off? I'm guessing it's before 1pm inspection tomorrow. I'd be gutted for all the guys who go tomorrow to get there only to be told it's off.
