I'd be interested to know your source. Presumably a forum. BBC London estimated 1000 and the one person I've spoken to who was there reckoned about the same.
I cannot see the point in goading fans of other clubs on the amount of support there is at away grounds, or even at home, for surely there will always be bigger fan bases at some clubs than others. There is no kudos attached to who has the "Most fans", well not amongst adults anyway. I'm sure the 1000 or 500 QPR supporters at The Hawthorns gave it thier all and deserve respect just for being there, same as if our 4000 at away grounds do.
Arsenal winning it would be unbearable. My dream scenario is for Everton to come 4th. Winning the CL takes skill, luck but also know-how. Arsenal don't have the know how, there is no chance of them getting through unless the Bayern players are seriously below par in both legs but even then it's a tall order. We would never have beaten Bayern over 2 legs.
Couldn't agree more. We can only try to be the best supporters we can be. One supporter cheering his guts out supporting a non-league team, far away from home, in this weather would win my respect more than most.
