Ok lads. Hypothetical question for you... What is the minimum amount of money needed to get you to walk around in front of your friends and neighbours in a Toon shirt for a day? If at all of course. Cest got me thinking with a comment made on another thread.
It would be like selling my soul & everything I stand for. Personally, I'd rather eat a plate of dog ****.
With our quite dire efforts against Newcastle I have suffered this fate on a head to head bet basis with my mag mate a few times, not nice
And vice versa mate, imagine pulling that off, home game for you lot and the home sections are red & white, away black & white, and vice versa! Fortunes! Never happen like, could though??????
Wouldnt entertain it even for a worthwhile charity. Would rather knock 6" rusty nails down me japs eye
I dont wear football strips as a rule but give me a hundred quid i'll wear what the **** anybody wants.
Once approached by a Newcastle fan who was doing the Great North Run and wanted some of my cash for his designated charity. 50 quid was what i coughed up on the understanding that he had to complete the distance and wear a Sunderland shirt all the way. He was happy to do it for charity and i was happy to pay him, both winners, yes and i have the photos to prove it.
Had a bet with a cocky mag at work, th bet was derby day when keano was in charge. If Sunderland won he had to wear a Sunderland shirt for a day at work, if Newcastle won I had to wear a mag top for the day at work. God bless Kieron and his free kick. That Monday at work was the best ever
What would be the point in doing it for nothing, for charity? lol I get your point though mate and fair play to you. I just couldn't live with the after events of it all, photos circling about months later. Sends a shiver down me spine.
£20 would do to help me pay the gas bill. Would have to bathe in domestos after and receive counseling
Here's a bigger but similar question. You bring your son up to support Sunderland which he does. He plays and you coach him at under 7 and 8 level and a Newcastle scout asks if he would go play for them. Then what? Personally if it is a chance to be a professional footballer I couldn't care less. He can play in any shirt he wants and I will back him to the hilt. If I was given the opportunity then I'd do the same.
Without a doubt mate and anybody that says otherwise would need their heads looking at and their parenting skills questioned.
Agreed & I'll tell you this, if either Boro or Hartlepool came in for my lad I'd be delighted. Two clubs with excellent youth systems.
