This doesn't make sense?? Sturridge is at least twice the player Graham is and has more years ahead of him as well.
Safc83. "A couple of years spent in the top league for the first time in your history..." Not wishing to be too pedantic, but Swansea City were in the old First Division, albeit for two seasons. "He might just want to come to a club with history". Not wishing to be too pedantic again, but EVERY club has history. And YOU "are coming out with posts like that".
DG doesnt like Sunderland though does he ? judging by some of the comments from the Mackems i can see why..
Norway,if Graham wanted to go to "a club with history",he would presumably want to join Newcastle. A Club with REAL history.
The ideal situation here is Newcastle coming in for him , everyone will be happy then and the geordies would have one of their own up front . If DG is desperate to go thats tough tit, he goes when we deem it not the other way around. Laudrup said today that he is a total professional when in training and also said if he stays he stays . That tells me that he will go when the move is right for the club, i get the feeling DG is keeping his fingers crossed for Newcastle and this panto with Sunderland could be an even better way of giving the geordies a lift by nicking the Mackems target. Looks like it will go down to the wire but i would not be suprised if DG is a magpie before the end of the window .
Do you seriously expect us to sell him under our clause ? I am pretty sure that it will be more than what we paid for by some margin
Why? He is not a top class striker by any stretch of the imagination. he is a bog standard striker who there are masses of them..you think he is like rooney or messi... You wish...
He scored 14 last season and scored 4 in 4 games in the last couple of weeks, and do you seriously expect Huw to let him go below our sell on clause ? You really are an amateur at football ain't you?
Danny boy wants to go home to play out his final days it seems, so it will be very difficult after the fact that he's sat so much on the bench this season, (His fault, in my opinion) to keep him here at the Liberty. I can't see him going for anything under £5 Million, even if he has put the club under pressure to sell, and clearly there are a number of clubs interested in old Danny boy, with Sunderland & Norwich blazing the trail! Think he'll likely go to Norwich............
Yet Danny has scored twice as many goals than him in the last 18months. Makes perfect sense! Another is Andy Carroll, £35million, Fletcher £12million. Danny Graham is a proven PL goal scorer and we should command a selling price of around the 10 million pound mark to part company with him.
Who started singing today "Danny Graham we want you to stay" ? Was that you Dai ? Come on, if it was don't be shy you can tell us
From what ive seen over the last few weeks im convinced we should pull out all the stops to keep him here and develop the attacking partnership with Michu - but if he wants to go...
Lots of tweets on twitter that Newcastle are showing interest in Danny now..... http://bit.ly/13YMHRy
