He got injured at the start for 3 months. In that time Yann couldn't stop scoring so when he was available again he had to settle for the bench. Also with Fuller, he is constantly ''furious'' on the pitch and ''struggling to motivate himself whilst Jackson is captain''.

And as I typed that, Alex Dyer informs me:

Veteran striker Ricardo Fuller is now past his peak and can no longer perform adequately at this level.

Only got the demo being a poor student and all but,
Lawrie Wilson cannot stop scoring for me from RM, Danny Green and Waggy have no chance of breaking into the side, didn't conceade a goal for 360 minutes at the start of the season with
    Hamer
    Solly, Morro, Cort, Wiggins
3rd in the table come mid September unbeaten

Lost to Palace in 3rd round of the league cup 1-0
then it went down hill and conceaded 12 in 3 games including a 5-1 stuffing at the hands of Wolves :'(

Did sign Zenden to solve LM problems (Jacko and Kerker just can't cut it for me), Sold Pritchard :D and brought in Zanetti, thought it was the inter legend, turns out not to be but is still a tank seeing he's 35 and holding midfield with Stephens our creative threat (7 assists already this season). Can't wait for xmas when i get the full game... or january when my next student loan comes in :D

Offer yourself to science, then you'll be able to afford it (as well as some pints) <cheers>

I finished the season in 16th, being the leagues top scorers with 81, but also the worst defence with 85 conceded <doh>. I finished my second summer spending and have a very different looking team. Going out was pretty much everyone - retained my defence (I blamed the midfield), Hamer, Stephens and Kermo.

Joining was Rivaldo (41 years old ;) ), Maurice Edu (325k), Taarabt (loan), Jordi Gomez (loan), Wooton (free), and a few other loans from French clubs. Going for a more attractive, free flowing game. Not sure if it's working as I lost the first game 3-0 to Blackburn. Maybe it was the defence after all.....

Alex Dyer is a little bitch on this, he just spreads gossip about Michael Morrison.

I don't play as charlton on it, never like to start with Charlton but I started with Rangers, I'm in Scottish Division 1 after 2 straight promotions, Danny Green and Rob Hulse key for me, if only they had done that for us earlier in the year. Hamer signs for Fulham though and Solly is picked up by Newcastle :(

Ah I always enjoy a go at making charlton champions of europe, currently 17 games into my first season, 27 points, 7th place although I have lost the last 3 on the spin so need to bounce back against palace in my next game!

    Edit; Smashed palace 5-0

Haven't played in recent weeks, but from my last comment that team got me to 6th where I beat Birmingham in the final in extra time. I actually didn't want to go up as my best players were loans and taarabt wanted 70k to join permanently- which I couldn't afford. Generally struggled all summer with transfers, but I signed a South American striker for 10mil. He had all the stats, great recent goal scoring records, threw him in to my team and he couldn't hit a barn door. I took a risk in spending that amount on someone and it seems as though it will fail as after 10 games I was 18th having won 2.

I will go back to it in a couple weeks, it was just starting to fry my brain.

sometimes the south americans take a while to settle down, he may still come good <ok>

I've finished my first season now, finished first with 85 points. Kermorgant championship top scorer with 30 goals and Dervite had the highest average rating in the division. Never managed to solve the left mid problem in the first transfer window so eventually switched to a diamond formation which proved rather successful.

I've been playing the Football Manager 2013 version on the iPad. Defense and Left side too seem to be a big big problem. For some unknown reason I cannot keep a clean sheet. I've even resorted to the following formation (3-2-3-2), which has shored up and stopped the rut of conceding too many goals. I've kind of put in arrows on my tactics: Red - Defensive Players Purple - Box-To-Box Blue - Midfield Movements

Sorry for the small size, not606 don't allow decent uploads.

If you can sign bebe then I highly recommend it. He was amazing for me in my promotion season.

9 games into the season 18th with 4 points, only scored two goals. Hmm don't see this season going well.

Edit; 21 games in and I'm a point worse than QPR in real life (and with a considerably worse goal difference).

Finished the season and managed to stay up 14th place with 38 points! Not bad considering the first half of my season. N'gog and Snodgrass coming in at january really saved my season. N'gog 12 goals in 19 games compared to Postiga's 2 goals in 29 games (who would have though he would fail?!).

You must be some manager to get the best out of David n'gog! Do you have your budget for next season? Also, how did your team line up? My 4-2-3-1 is being found out in the premiership.

I've already spent my budget for next season, was about £19mill with around 400k wages p/w. In typical FM fashion I didn't spend a penny on my defence and keeper where I really could do with a bit more class. Nothing I tried worked in the first half of the season but after shoring the side up a bit with 442 I used a 4321 away and against the big clubs and either 442 or a diamond at home.

Have you picked it back up super? I've been really getting through it as I'm unemployed till Feb. 3rd season is going very well if I do say so myself been just sticking to a 442 mostlly with deep laying playmakers in the middle. 8th in the league with 6 games to go (all against clubs lower than me), won the league cup and got a FA cup semi final aproaching against leicester. Have been rather lucky with the draws in the cups.

Had Torres on loan for the first half of the season, terminated it after he picked up a big injury but he did OK, Willian on loan from manchester united has been superb all season (wish I had a transfer fee agreed on the loan) and gylfie sigurdsson who I bought was good up untill the point he broke his ankle. David Ngog is still my star player though leading the EPL scoring charts with 23 so far.
