Before you read it 1. It's from twitter 2. It's a retweet by Cwarr (but not him who attended):

Went to a charity dinner where Pardew was doing a q&a. We were asked not to leak stuff on twitter but thought I'd share some bits & bobs on here! Please don't spread it around all over the internet...not that it is massively interesting or much new!

Colo: wouldn't talk about it at all except to say that it is 100% personal problems and nothing to do with him wanting to go to another club.

Ba: Should have sold him in the summer, the saga has affected the players and it's telling that he didn't contribute a single assist this season.

Transfers: 100% thought they had Remy, everything was agreed and deal all but done.

He likes Danny Graham but pretty much ruled out a move.

Said he expects to make 2 big signings this window (classified above 8 million as what he counts as a big signing when talking about Remy)

Said he thought we were signing 2 more players in the last week of the Summer window and seemed pretty pissed that he didn't get them.

Said this January window is unique, normally teams wouldn't want to buy many players but the fear is all prices will be inflated in the summer due to all the extra money from the new tv deal.

Gets phonecalls about signing Ben Arfa from clubs all the time. Said he should be back fit in about 3 weeks and that Ben Arfa always wants to come back too quickly (wanted to play the game after getting injured until they had a scan and saw he had really bad tear.)

Would like to bring Carroll back if he sorts himself out and gets his head right.

Young players: Thinks Adam Campbell could be a brilliant player, if we can get safe will see him before the end of the season.

Likes Shane Ferguson but feels he lacks self confidence and needs to go out on loan. (in answer to why he didn't play him at Brighton).

Set Plays: Said that we practice them loads but no longer have players like Nolan, Carroll etc who are aggressive in the box. Williamson only real target to aim for and he is not likely to produce anything.

I'm sure I will remember more when my hangover fades. Got to say, in person he is very charming and convincing

Ba did contribute at least one assist... The shot at Man Utd which allowed Perch to score?

Anyway, why does a bunch of rich people getting pissed have anything to do with charity?

I've never known Pardew to lie.

He has only minimally more influence over the club's transfer policy than I do, so both of our predictions are often wildly wide of the mark but I think he more or less tells the truth as he knows it

Interestingly, on the wisdom of crowds, people respond so positively to "strong chin" and "confident smile" characteristics, that 70% of the time people asked which political candidate is the most trustworthy, strong and leadership worthy, based on physical appearance alone, are unknowingly correctly predicting the outcome of the election. Yep, that's right, Cameron, Clegg and Brown might as well have wrestled to the death for your vote.

So, what do we make of Pardew's facial features? Strong/trustworthy/would you tap that?

He's got no discernible top lip which makes the confident smile kind of difficult, but those dentures are incredible...

I love Hatem Ben Arfa's mentality. He wants to play even with a hamstring tear. Also, I was at the game against Everton away when we drew 2-2, when Demba Ba scored the equalizer all the players ran up to him to celebrate. Hatem picked the ball up and sprinted towards the centre circle, this guy is a Winner. I love that mentality he is not content with an excellent point away from home against a good team, he want tos win!

I immediately distrusted him on the basis of over smoothness. He looks like a person trying to look trustworthy, which is always suspicious.

His post game comments are often extremely candid, though, and only very rarely delusional. While the Andy Carroll affair underlined how little he actually is in charge, I haven't caught him in a lie. He has won my turust in spite of his charming good looks, rather than because of them
