More articles from Pardew saying we must strengthen to avoid relegation....

This could mean, IMO, the club aren't willing to spend ****, and are just making it look like they are bothered.

I wish we'd just ****ing be like other clubs for once and just pay ****ing money for ****ing players for ****s SAKE MAN!

I'm getting sick of this game playing Whale ****. A good transfer policy is sensible, but right now we can not afford to piss about, if we have targets we should just pay the fees that the clubs want, as long as they're not ridiculous, and as long as they're semi-reasonable.

There are many parties who need to agree to complete a deal its not just between ourselves and the selling club. We had an agreement with Remys club but HE CHOSE to go to QPR for whatever reasons.

Agree though the next two weeks or so are huge for the club and we need to get QUALITY players in. I mean if we sign Ngog we might as well all just pack it in now (watch him come in and score 10+ goals to to spite me). CB, CF are nessecity LB and a winger also would be nice but would be happy with the first 2 to be honest.

what's the point of talking to the press telling them this
we all know we should of / be strengthened
he should be kicking Ashleys or Lambsarse's door in

funny how Lambsarse has gone all quiet now,
when we were doing well, he got himself about a bit in the papers and on T.V.
    he seemed almost Human

People keep going on about the transfer window not been closed yet
But we can't leave it till the end of January as we have already lost points this month
And with the next two games the lowest amount of points we need to pick up is 4.
Reading is a most win game and nothing else will do.

The way we are run us a joke no ambition (according to cold hooch) certain fans thing we expect us to buy messi
Which is hardly the case we need to buy players to keep us up as sadly moving on from last year was not in fat mikes remit.

He suggested we need two more players more like 4 as I can guarantee when we go down fat mike would lose more money than buying the needed players NOW.

For me, Pardew has exactly 2 weeks before "sack the manager" kicks in. And the funny thing is, I have a feeling Mike Ashley will use that as a popularity vote. So forget the fact that tool ignores the needs of the club or the pleas of the fans for more bodies on the pitch, once it starts to go pear shaped he'll be able to trot out the lines Pards gave about challenging for the Top 4 in October and simply sack him. Gives the fans another 6 months of 'hope', before he then starts shatting on it all over again.

Thing is, I don't WANT to have an oligarch in the owners seat, I hate what City/Chelsea have done. But would I take investment over Ashley and his one-man crusade to change World football? 'Fraid so.

Where do you get this stuff from? Fans expecting Messi? Cant wait for the end of Jan for players, i agree we should have sorted it sooner but what can you do if players decide to go else where? Almost remind me of a certain someone. Get your head out of your arse and ill take mine out the clouds <ok>

Taking the remy situation aside the reason we always fail to bring players in is Ashley expects us to pay under the odds for players and will not pay the going rate for players as to him its about making money

Nothing to get excited about for me. Typical PL manager trying to apply pressure to his board through the media. Not sure its the best policy with Mike to be honest. He is likely to dig his heels in. End of the window is time to judge and if we don't have a centre forward and centre half with no one going (bar the Colo situ becoming untenable) then its been a poor window.

Nowt to go off the deep end about, but disappointing for fans, players and Pardew.

It's not over until the fat lady closes the window, as they say, but Pardew is preaching to the converted and not telling anybody what they don't already know.
These kind of statements must have any club with a player we may show interest in laughing their proverbials off. Why does he not just come out and say, We are really in the **** and the window is half done, we are desperate to sign players, so anyone who has our supposed plan B, C, D , Z options, are loving the sound of those cash registers, KERCHING.
Am just waiting for the old, well we tried really hard , but selling clubs knew we needed the players more than they did and so took advantage of the situation and upped the asking price beyond what we were prepared to
pay. Best thing is it all goes really quiet and we bring players in under the radar, l cannot understand why we constantly advertise our intentions to the whole world, unless they are merely smoke screens, of course Remy wasn't, so who knows.

The going rate is rising above inflation and results in a spike in ticket prices, hitting the supporters in the wallets. Now, if you'll look at the stats, Newcastle offer some of the best prices in the league, while other clubs which have even smaller wage caps (ie Norwich) are set to raise their ticket prices even higher. Why does this matter? Well we're signing good players on what we can afford, and in return we get to watch football at similar prices to League 2 games <ok>.

I personally don't fancy paying £100 more a year because we've signed some snotty nosed reincarnation of Thierry Henry <doh> at the "going rate"!

Our model for recruitment is a proven one. The thing is, other teams are trying to copy it now so we have more competition.
Throwing cash at players certainly isn't the way forward

i think its unfair for a "sack the manager" campaign. i still trust pardew, ive no idea why. but manager of the season last season justifies at least some extra time. The sole reason we are in this position is down to lack of transfers last season, it was inevitable after last seasons efforts that injuries would kick in this year. MA thought that the same squad could do the same thing again this season, shows how little he truly knows about football. he said he learnt from his mistakes from the season we got relegated, clearly theres a new set of mistakes that he is going to learn from again this season. If we sign N'gog, I cant even begin to describe how far we have fallen from last season. Signing N'gog shows how little ambition there actually is within our club. Cabaye HBA Tiote Santon Debuchy Cisse Colo, all these players are beginning to see how they were lied to, nobody wants to work for an employer that lies to them.
