I will get behind the team and I wont get on the new guys back but this novice manager will not be getting any support from me until he has earned it. Cortese has mugged the lot of us off today and Liebherr will be spinning in his grave.

Could well have been. It seems fairly obvious that whoever made the decision doesnt really have the first clue about football.

Boycott a game - pointless and cause more harm than good on the Club!

Why would any support attempt to do financial harm to their club???

Nothing will change ..fact .. Firstly I have a season ticket and so my money was paid along time ago so no benefit regarding me not turning up financially for NC .. It's not just Southampton .. the fact is we have a new manager end of , I was so angry and shocked and would be all up for doing something if it would make an impact but it wont , if anything it will create a negative impact on the club and team not the chairman . If we boycott and protest and "do something about it " what will happen ? ...he will sack the manager and get adkins back ? nope ....and have you not seen what huge fan pressure and protest has done to chelseas home record this season ? .... fact is yes its 100% wrong but I dont ever see you or any of us changing it , football is too corupt and breads unloyalty ... fans just arnt as important as we shoould be and it will take something bigger than me you or any saints fan to change it

I wasn't going because it's a Monday and it's a long drive back to Bristol, but now I won't be going for moral reasons.

If you want to support saints and show support for Nigel how about wearing t-shirts with Nigel's face screen printed on them?

You'll still support the team, show respect to Nigel and leave the new manager out of the protest so he can hopefully get the team motivated to do a job. The TV cameras are bound to pick up on the t-shirts.

I'm not going. Right now I don't have the energy for it and for me it is like an act of mourning. However, the reason I'm in favour of it is that its a one-off, then its done and we can show our support for the team again.

We don't want to become like Chelsea and spend the rest of the season booing. That definitely won't help the team.

Lots of people boycotted in the Lowe era (not me I should add) and it did have an effect in the end. Was it a good one though? I would have said 'yes' until today.

Go to the game you ****ing mugs. What has the team done wrong? Support the ****ing team. Going to the game gives you the opportunity to let your anger be known to Cortese by shouting abuse at him

what a stupid question ! whether we like it or not, we're SFC & should be supporting 100% p.s. i wrote this without looking at thread, so it'll be interesting to see what the other posters think.
