    Another undisclosed fee??

I wish they would just be open about how much the deals are for, and any other trigger payments owed!

Not having a pop just at City and Man.U., all the clubs are doing this, and it really pisses me off

Why? What difference does it make?

It will be around £500kish, probably plus add ons for re-transfers. Beyond that I don't see why people are bothered??!??!?!

I've heard a rumour that we are getting Ryan Giggs next.
Unfortunately he's got a Super Injunctions against the reporting of it.

I'm sure City are doing this the right way but we are spending a lot on players who are going to be out of contract soon. I assume Man Utd say they will offer him a new contract and because of the age this would mean it would go to a tribunal if we didn't agree a fee for the transfer. Maybe this is just simpler for both clubs and would be similar to the fee if it went to a tribunal.

Each to our own, but, we would then see more transparency in all club finances instead of mystery sums moving around clubs, players, and agents!

I'm not questioning your right to ask such things, I just don't understand it. As for transparency, the only thing that is important is that the controlling bodies (FA, Football League, Premiership, and the Taxman) know the details of financial dealings for regulatory purposes. As fans, there is no need for transparency, indeed it can have a detrimental effect of transfer dealings.

As I said, Strovolos, "each to our own"!

I don't care about the F(uck) A(ll), PL, or the Tax Man, I just want to see our club is dealing solvently, when we buy, or, sell players, unlike in the past!!!

the undisclosed thing is a curious issue, probably most often used by clubs who don't want fans to know how much they've wasted on complete no-hopers.

anyway, delighted with the evans permanent signing, he's had the odd game where he seems to have been bypassed somewhat, but on the whole, i'm confident he'll prove an excellent acquisition. four united additions now, is it cheeky to request nicky ajose?

Ajose would be nice on a year long loan though?

I like Corry, he gets the job done whilst going unnoticed. Four very decent signings from Utd.

Now lets hope for some signings we don't already know about.

Great signing, glad he's proved himself and shut up several people on here who were saying he was not good enough.

Scunny have made an approach for a season long loan, but I can't see him agreeing to play in league One.

Hate to be the negative one, but I think Evans is no better than Harper in midfield. He's average, he's not a big tackler, nor is he particularly creative, just like Harper he's just there really. I think we need a creative midfielder to come in as well as a ballwinner, but he's neither of these so we still need both. Greening and Danns would be nice.

    James Harper(30) - 28 league appearances, 1 goal.

    Corry Evans(20) - 18 league appearances, 3 goals.

One's young and talented, the others a bit ****.

Greening and Danns would be nice with the latter being made captain. If we get both of them I'll be over the moon, however if we can get only one then it's got to be Danns as we definitely need a creative midfielder. I agree with you as well that we need a ball-winner too, in the mould of Ian Ashbee.

He's better than Harper, but he's not brilliant. A midfield consisting of Harper and Evans would be ****, but having Evans in with a more creative player might be alright, though we're yet to see it

Certainly not the footballing God some people make him out to be.

as well as a creative midfielder we definately need somebody capable of getting stuck in...we where too soft in the 2nd half of the season, too many players running alongside the oppisition without putting there foot in (most notably harper)
i remember aganst qpr, they where taking the piss at one point doing 4 or 5 step overs....it may be cynical but you need somebody willing to decide there taking a booking every now and then and hammer somebody, and let teams know where not going to roll over....i saw smith mentioned somwhere today...would love that, was hoping wed sign him after we got promoted..
