I'm in shock and I need to withdraw my vote. Please can this poll be repeated when everyone's had a chance to think about this?
Football is a funy game and it has the nabit of biting you in the bo***ks when you think you know it, the people who voted THIS MORNING that Cortese is the best thing since sliced bread are the worst type of fans in my opinion, why are they now saying 4 hours later he is awful? Justify yourselves, dont crawl into the now mainstream when only a few where prepared to put themselves out there when all was thought to be going swimmingly? Cortese has stabbed Adkins in the back, this was planned and it is also a disgrace.
No. Pretty much everything he's done has benefited the club. He was the one who got Markus interested. He hired Alan Pardew, who signed Lambert, Fonte, and laid the foundations for NA. Then he sacked Pardew and brought in Adkins. In the end, he's paid to make these decisions, and in almost every case, he's made the right one. And its a good thing he doesn't listen to us. We wouldn't be in the Premier League if he did.
Well our odds have been slashed to get relegated so we may be in the Championship after this pearler, he is a dictator nothing more nothing less, surely even the most ardent clapper can see this now?
At this club tickler we have the most middle class head in the sand do gooder happy clapper poor atmosphere thermos drinking clark shoe wearing smug faced property pricing flag waving Julians/Sandras who would not upset anyone mate, they will love Cortese until the bitter even though its been pointed out time and time again by fans (the banning them as is wrong to disagree with a dictator/movement/regime) on here and ex players to how Cortese works.
Up to this point Corteses decisions have proved to be pretty successful. I am shocked and unhappy that Adkins has gone and think it is ridiculous but then I was when Pardew was sacked too. If this falls flat on it's face then we can judge but Cortese really hasn't got it very wrong when it matters, as of yet, so let's wait and see. Good luck Nigel. You will always have a place in our hearts but lets move on and Welcome mauricio pochettino. For all we know this may be just as an inspired appointment as Nigel was when he joined. I certainly hope so.
I actually agree with all 3 options. a)Yes, you'll find hardly any other CEO's with the commitment and drive of Cortese, success is his only option, and success is what he has brought us b)Yes, team selection/transfers etc should be left to the management team, not CEO c)Yes, he needs a greater sense of morality, and loyalty, and needs to show some club legends some more respect. In all if I had the choice though of Adkins or Cortese, despite Cortese's obvious talent, I would take Adkins any day. This morning has shown me there is a lot more to supporting a team than winning, getting results and 'success'.
Just because someone is doing a good job, doesn't mean that there isn't someone out there who could do better - I'm not saying Cortese is right with his latest decision, but we all thought it was crazy when Pardew was sacked. We also don't know that this was out of the blue for Adkins, as he doesn't let anything slip out when he is interviewed. Pochettino might be the best thing since sliced bread, and Cortese is paid to make these kinds of decisions. If we stay up this season and continue to progress, will Adkins sacking still be viewed as the most terrible crime any Saints chairman could have made? I'm witholding judgement on this one at the moment because it might turn out to be a good decision in the long run. Adkins has done a great job up till now, but maybe the new guy will be better.
You got it, morals, loyalty and diginity, I never understoogd Adkins and his little speechs and poems and also the substitutions but I did get his commitment and love for the club, Cortese will never understand football and this proves it.
No you are sitting on the fence, a wait and see policy is something most fans have been doing since this season started, better to of been wrong but to of stated so at the start than to whimper in at the end.

Love him or hate him he makes the decisions for the benefit of the club. He has done everything he has promised since he came to the club and more. He wants champions league football and see's Pochettino as the man to get us there. If it goes wrong we can moan but lets give it a chance. Still gutted to see Nigel go we owe him so much but life goes on.
Its a decision with no morals and bollocks to it, is he a man or a back stabbing mouse? How long has this move been on for?
