    I cant see him going there. Clearly something is wrong with Cesspool after Appleton and Olly jumped ship for seemingly more difficult jobs and then Parky and MK Dons bloke (cant remember his name) refused the chance to talk to them.

    He'll take the rest of this season off and come back in the summer.

    Does anyone think they sounded him out before sacking Adkins....?

    I'd now say it's almost certain they will be relegated along with Reading. if you're the fan of another struggling club you've got to be loving this.

    I don't like the bloke but he's a relatively successful as a manager and has been doing well enough to justify keeping his job. Football is just barmy these days!

    For me bottom 3 are actually sorted now - Reading, Saints and DQPR in that order with the latter going down on the last day.

    Paul Lambert must be high fiving everyone today. Adkins wouldve kept them up and maybe sent Villa down.

    Why is it that English football clubs get rid of the good English managers and bring in foreigners all of the time? I think Southampton will probably go down now. My mates a massive saints fan. Adkins deserved better
