I'm pretty useless myself, but I have a lot of respect for the spreadsheet wallah. The PowerPoint junkie, by contrast, I struggle with. Surrounded by people who produce massive slide decks full of links and builds, who proceed to read them word for word when presenting. I got criticized for having 6 slides with about 8 words on each when presenting in the US a couple of weeks ago "the slides aren't telling a story" - my response "no, I'm telling the story, the slides are just the pictures to keep the kids happy. Now put your ****ing blackberry down and listen". I had fun that day.
Like it. There does seem to be almost an etiquette to presentations - you've got it spot on but sadly you're audience missed the point.
