I see palace want him personal don't think we should get rid, he's a good squad player in the premier and if we was to go down he gets a fair few goals a championship level and I'm sure he ant on silly money so why not keep him unless the player him self wants to leave.

If Cisse is gone, Zamora not back fully fit for a month or so, and AJ out most of the season, we may need DJ and either Betty or Hulse if Harry hasn't got other strikers he'll be bringing in.

I reckon we'd need at least 4 strikers in our 25 squad.

Imo we need another striker if Cisse goes. I expect us to have these strikers in our 25:

    Remy
    Cisse/New
    Zamora
    Bothroyd/Campbell/NEW

Sorry guys but where is the logic in that? There is no point in wasting spaces in the squad for players who are simply not going to feature simply because we might be in the Championship next season. It's not very attractive to the players themselves and we could actually use the available places for players who do feature in Harold's plans. Why do you automatically assume that if they don't make the 25 this time that they will in the summer? So there will be a clear out and some will activate their release clauses. Do you really think that they won't be replaced with cheaper and more importantly younger players leaving DJ, Betty and Hulse on the fringes again. In the summer it's a completely new ball game.

Agreed, I dont think we have time to plan for next season in case we go down...
I think we need to pack the team with as many good quality players as possible. TF has obviously rolled the dice and is banking on us staying up, so lets get players who are good enough to keep us up and worry about next season when it comes round.
I think HR is good enough to get us out of this mess otherwise he wouldnt be here (There)

I know its short sighted and not a plan for the future, but time isnt on our side anymore & we may just have to sell-out if we want to stay up this season.
Leave the planning for next season until the summer when we know where we are.

I know Betty scored. But one Swallow does not a summer make. I would rather DJ stayed.

Yeh, it was a soft goal as well judging by the snippet I saw on here, but he played well 2nd half as I heard it.

Oslo I recall hours of dire clueless play from him. He did not win a header in the first leg of the 3rd round tie at LR

Me too, but very occasionally he looks decent, City at home and Spurs away was about it last season.

    Spot on Queens.

I've said a few times before that absolutely everyone in our squad (maybe Ephraim and the kids aside) are paid far too much for a Championship so we'd need to completely overhaul the team IF we went down.

Our eggs are already in the one basket (whether we like it or not) so we might as well stack 'em high and worry about omelettes if we slip up in May.

    [random analogy alert]

We've confirmed we're talking to you about him, which is hardly a srprise since we were after signing him In August until we changed our mind. (either Simpson's start to the season or the fact we couldn't offload McLean)

Mick McCarthy has apparently said that he's not going to Ipswich because he's signing a 3 year contract somewhere else. Presumably whether that's us or Palace that's going to be a 2 1/2 rather than 3 1/2.
