It will be interesting to see how many tickets Spurs get? Will they get the 3k reduced allocation like us or the full 5k?
I'm just hoping Michael Brown doesn't injure too many of our players. By far and away the worst and most dislikable player we've had. I was there when they last visited WHL and their fans wouldn't bloody shut up about their impending promotion so it was great to see their chances take a huge wobble by the end of the season. Bastards had the last laugh that day though when the ref gave them a last minute penalty for nothing I really wanted us to draw Brentford before the round but I can see the appeal of Brentford-Chelsea, I reckon they might cause you at least a brief scare, their Clayton Donaldson is what Torres wishes he could be! Naturally I'll be supporting the Bees but not just because they're playing Chelsea a few of my mates are Brentford ST Holders and members, I even had a junior ST for a season when I was younger
They won't sell more than 3k anyway - couldn't last time they came to ER, even though we took 4,500 to their place under the same conditions.
Hardly the same conditions. Lower league club comes to London for glamorous cup tie. London club goes to Yorkshire on a workday.
Fair play. Regardless, we'd have taken the same no matter what night it was. Arsenal sold out their allocation for 'Yorkshire on a workday' in an identical FA Cup replay, and there weren't even any trains back to London for them that night. Just like we took 5,200 to Arsenal on a Monday worknight last season. Some clubs just have superior fanaticism to others.
Agree. Arsenal have superb away support. Much better than spurs and just a bit better than us in numbers but maybe not noise
We sold out the allocation at Leeds midweek this season and have sold 2700 for Swansea away midweek...
Yep and we would have taken 5k too. IMO arsenal's away numbers are slightly better than Chelsea and Leeds. Both are better than spurs at the mo.
Arsenal's numbers have only been good over the last 20-30 years, prior to that both Chelsea and Spurs took more. But I agree Arsenal, Chelsea and probably Leeds have larger away followings than Spurs at the moment. That's not to say Spurs fans are any less fanatical or passionate, even now their home support is better than the 3 aforementioned.
Spurs never brought huge numbers to the bridge in the 80s apart from the cup game when they had 14k. In the 70s thEir away support was good but not so good in the 80s
Sorry but the question has to be asked, who the **** cares? I take pride in going to games and supporting my team and that's it.
Arsenal always bring good numbers but vocally, Leeds and Chelsea are far much better. Spurs have better home support than us that's for sure
Agree Bucks. Though we had better home support until 90s. If spurs were ever successful it would breed apathy and attract tourists too. But in haringey that is unlucky to happen soonw
