Let's compile a definitive list of why we want Newcastle to stay in the premier league...

Money,Money Money. HBA, Krul, Cabaye, Santon, Cisse. All would be gone before the opening Championship game.

 

Not a chance! I don't gamble anyway and if I did, it wouldn't be on football (way too unpredictable)

Is that all we're worried about though? Lack of sexy players and some cash we as fans don't actually see?

 

My computer has a nasty habit of jarring when I first load a webpage, and fortunately at the moment when I load Not606 it stops on the premier league section, that might be quite annoying when I know I'd have to scroll down a bit to get to us!

 

We simply must stay up. If we go down then the big issues wil be Losing Money, losing our few good players, not playing against the best teams, the risk of free-falling into oblivion, missing out on the local derbies (unless 'they' go down too), no chance of Europe (strike that last one - we don't have a chance now once we're out if Europa), the shame/abuse/WUMing that follows relegation.

Mike has to invest now before it's too late. No more excuses of not getting players over the line. No more "when he's back it'll be like a new signing". We need to add some quality - now!

 

Reason 432. So I don't get millions of 'funny' texts, emails, Facebook messages and general 'banter' from my annoying friends, family and colleagues rubbing it in.

 

We need to stay up as we'll be competing on more equal terms because of the Financial Fair Play Rules, this could be our big opportunity........................all rubbish of course, nice thought though all the same!

 

If you stay up you'll have no derbies next season!

If you go down you'll have derbies against Sunderland and Boro to look forward to + the insane ramblings of Steve Claridge.

 

The only reason should be the TV-rights income at the start of the season. Last year NUFC took 54.2 million pounds. The top in the Championship is just 15.4 million quid.

Nah I think the Mackems will be ok this season. Much as it pains me to say it I think we're in more danger than they are.

 

One negative of selling off our best players is perhaps people reverting back to conventional names for kids... I wonder how many little Mathieu's, Yohann's, Davide's will be born in the first few months of 2013 in the RVI...

Sammy's and Steve's will make a comeback and there goes my dream of living in a metropolitan society where we all have exotic names, drink blue WKD despite what our friends might think and it's thoroughly acceptable to have orgies with Swedes even when we're in a committed relationship

 

You might find we have a few Xisco's, Willo's, Romain's and Nile's instead.

 

How many little Foluwashola's can we expect to see?

 

Is Xisco his first name? Is it his last name? Is he one of those one-named wonders who will never be able to complete online forms because the surname/forname boxes are *mandatory? I really hope his first name is Bob... Just so he seems more human....
