I am trying to convince the missus to take on board my love for everything QPR. So she agreed to attend the FA Cup match with me at the end of the month. Now I have never sat in the South Africa Road Stand and am looking to get 2 of the platinum tickets. However, literally all of them state having a restricted view? How bad is the restricted view and are there certain rows to avoid. I'd hate for her first experience at HQ to be viewed sat directly behind a goiant Iron girder! Any help appreiated guys.
If they actually admit to it being restricted view, I reckon you will be behind a girder. Fewer restricted views, official or nor, in Ellerslie and none, I think, in the Loft. Language will be more industrial though. If she's taller than 5 foot 2 warn her of the restricted blood flow to the legs as well. And wise to empty bladder before entering the ground. It's a crap stadium, but when it's rocking, who cares?
Your best bet is to go to the stadium plan on the website. You can select seats and then click on a link to see the view from the seat. Its not perfect but will certainly show Girders etc!
Once season ticket holders tickets are released then you can take your pick. As Northolt says, this is 5pm Monday.
I booked my tickets this morning at 9:30 (despite the offish stating they would go on sale at 10:00), and I couldn't choose my seats, only the block I wanted to sit in. I would get yourself sorted ASAP as they will sell out I reckon.
That's what I was thinking of doing. Cheers for the heads up North. Was wondering why the stand had limited availability and it was only 10:15.
Oddly enough, I've just logged back in an you CAN now choose your seats, so ignore my earlier post, it was bollox!!!

he would have been standing behind the pillar offside if he had got on the pitch. To be fair he might have come on
