get him in Pardew. I reckon he'd score goals for us. Works hard, local lad, wants to play here and I can def see him bagging two goals against Sunderland in a few months. 2-3 Million? Bargain considering the 3 million we wasted on Crystal skull head

As I mentioned on another thread, I think he's good enough to be our second striker, but see no reason for Swansea to sell cheaply. Therefore I can't see him leaving for anybody, except somebody who always pays too much for british players... mmmmmmm <whistle>

If he goes to Sunderland, that'd be as good as playing for us on Derby day if he follows the path of other famous Mags there <ok>

Any player is better than either of those annoying Ameobi characters - god the thought of finally getting rid of Shola and then having another 10 years of the exact same face running around on on someone elses body for another decade is a real concern to me.

Agreed. I'm sick of people saying Shola has been a 'loyal servant'. He has stayed here because no other team wanted his wretcheness. I'm convinced he had horrific sexual polaroids of various Newcastle managers in compromising situations. That can be the only logical reason why he has hung onto our club like a parasite for more than a decade

I would take him now we haven't got Remy. He's not fantastic, but he's a good player and goalscorer. He's also a Local lad who'd love to play here.

swansea wont sell him cheaply, hes in great form and hes being all hyped up in the press and on MOTD at the moment. i think it would take a stupid offer just to get swanseas attention to be honest.

If it's a choice between him or the two donkeys we have currently backing up Cisse? for me if that's the choice I'd have him here so fast he'd have footburn.

I agree and that's a major reason were in the **** and the same gies for Guthrie!!! both disgustingly under appreciated and played a major role in getting 5th last season. The fact is Swansea will want well over what Mike will be prepared to pay for this player. We will now be going the season with what we have IF we are lucky and whatever happens next summer is going to be a mass exodus whether we stay up or go down.

I heard the Mackems were in for him and he's up for the idea of coming back to the NE. Can you imagine if they hijacked our bid and he signed for them. I think I'd laugh!

I thought we bought Anita to replace Guthrie? I think I prefer Anita personally.
