read this on annual meeting details : The duo admitted season ticket prices are likely to rise again next season, while adding they were working on ways to pay fans back for their loyalty. how are they going to pay back fans for loyalty what a load of rubbish they won't do nothing for the loyal fans they never do so thats more money they want next season soon people will leave because prices are too high we are nearly at £55 for a normal ticket for adult thats only £7 of the arsenal price. do they think we are as big as arsenal because they need a wake up call there is lots of small clubs that have season ticket prices cheaper than us. this price thing is stupid just trying squeeze as much out of us untill we give up on loyalty as the price is to high. lots of fans soon will be priced out of the game and end up seeing less attendance at the ground if they keep putting up prices. they say if you want premiership you have to pay for it or do you want cheaper tickets well when we went down last time the prices still rises. also they get 20 million extra next season if they say in this season. rant over
I pay £790 in Cathedral Lounge.that's £41+ a game. I do get a cup of coffee and a programme thrown in worth £6 so £35 a game. A10% hike means £869,that's £46 + a game,less £6 for coffee and prog. So it looks like £40 a game. Good value???????? Not really,I don't want a prog,and I can buy a coffee if I want,my choice-not NCFC's By comparison I am paying £65 for a DAY at Ashes test match. Premier league is nothing but a rip off,preferred Championship,more games,more goals.
if you want better players (and it seems everyone does) then we have to pay more money so we can afford to pay them! until our ground is bigger our ticket prices will continue to rise, probably regardless of divisional status. even then, i doubt they'd go down unless players have their wages slashed and sky and bt stop putting so much money in... if you think about how much extra income the club will get from the increase in sky money (assuming we stay up), they could easily have kept prices the same next season. this shows they are trying to get better players in and grow the club quickly. however, eventually the club will find fans hit a limit and stop going. i think i'm a couple of years away from hitting that limit myself.
they are due to be announced today so we'll see what that brings. i happen to think season tickets are pretty competitive - mine works out at about £25 a game - but if that suddenly shoots up to over £30 a game i think many will give theirs up and i don't blame them.
I hope the increase is only marginal. Paying for my season ticket, but travel costs from London mean that if it rises too steeply I may have to stop going. I do wonder why they have to go up, surely costs for the club, in terms of matchdays haven't increased vastly, and what happens to the money from TV rights - I'm aware I'm probably being naive.
Do the club ever consult with fans on this issue? They did on the cup tickets, but then it was a one-off event. If you screw up season ticket prices for a year, you'll lose a lot of regulars, who will then miss out if the club decide they've over-done it and reduce prices the following season.
Yes Supers, £25 a game is a fair price and even if the season ticket price goes up by say £25 - £30, then most fans would pay that. IMO, if it goes up by much more then you might see quite a few people giving up their season ticket. Wew'll have to wait and see.
it would be a great gesture to put a freeze on season tickets because the club could easily afford to with the increase in revenue, but they will say that we are a) not assured of premier league football yet and b) we need a further injection of cash from fans to sign the quality players being asked for. we probably can't have a freeze and expect a better quality of new signings in the summer. everyone else will have the tv cash injection in 2014 so we will only have a head start on newly promoted teams.
I read somewhere earlier that standard football ticket prices are going up by 5x inflation. That's just insane...
"Our club is run rather like a co-operative, with all the spare cash re-invested into football, and our income from ticket sales forms a really important part of our financial planning."-David McNally quote. No mention what happens if we are relegated this season!!!!
Its all madness. I paid best part of £50 to see the mighty Hoops at Carrow Road this season. That's a lot of money. I then went to Eastlands a couple of weeks later and watched us play the English Champions, ticket price £24 I can't work it out but I do know that I go to fewer games and miss the cheaper days of the Championship. You need a good few bob to follow your team these days. How does your average season ticket price compare with the rest of the Prem? That ticket price survey late last year had one of the cheapest season tickets at Man City?
