Sounds like a lot of chances for both sides - we had 26 shots 50% on target vs 17. Thanks to Mark in Added Time and Brede, we're set for a trip to Old Trafford, so forgive me but...... Come On You Irons!
As Gentleman Jim (and Bidley) said, "That'll Do !!" please log in to view this image And however pleasing it was for the rest of us just think what it must have been like for the 375 stalwarts at the game. Well done every one of them. And well done Kara who ran his socks off for 124 minutes - and the other guy he's celebrating the 93rd minute equaliser with please log in to view this image
I am starting to worry that Kara is going to just fall apart at some point. It's a little shameful that a 35 year old who we acquired for free outside the transfer window is showing so much more energy and passion than our "stars". Not complaining, mind you. I sit at the front of the Hammersmith End and when Kara stood on the barrier to accept our adulation after scoring against Wigan, I was about 6 rows away from him. My favourite Fulham moment for a long while.
I think Jol saying we were going to be creative in January meant he was gonna stick Karagounis together with glue and sellotape to stop him from falling apart!
I always knew Richardson would come good. Awesome player, real quality. Uhum......flipping glad Jol made an inspired substitution to bring him on. I'll take the win, gladly. It was a terrible pitch though.
There was one more conclusion from the game yesterday. We can win games even without Berbatov and Ruiz. Just need some extra time!
Definitely an improvement when he has played at LB. Looked far too lightweight for CM but maybe it's a fitness issue. Looks like Jol has inspired him by publicly criticising him.
still many booed him when he came on against Blackpool at home and nearly won the game with the cross that Ruiz hit the crossbar from. Then last night keeps us in the cup....i am sure both him and Berbatov would love to play at OT in the next round. Good for Richardson.
Were many booing Richardson? Or were they booing the fact Ruiz stayed on, which seemed to be the feeling around where I was sitting? That said, if he's motivated then I really don't care how it happened.
And at long last here is a video clip of the goals - http://www.fulhamfc.com/media-centre/video?utm_source=Social&utm_medium=AllSocial&utm_campaign=MB
Was it Briggs? I couldn't get a close enough look. But you're right, clearance was just as bad as the punch, although Mark is far more experienced.
