I started mine early in mid December. I decided to start eating healthier and drinking less alcohol.

I was 12 stone 3 when I started this. I never planned to lose weight as I'm definitely not fat, but I've fallen to 11st 10/11.

I feel better and more energetic, and I actually enjoy the odd takeaway and drink a lot more than I used to.

I used to see alcohol and ****ty foods as normal, but since I've discovered my new lifestyle, every time I have a drink it feels much better, and I feel less guilty.

And every time I eat a takeaway or w/e it tastes much better.

    Here's to new beginnings!

You're not drinking less booze though.

All that Vodka you claim to have been drinking?

No mate I never break a resolution if you do what's the point? Life is all about challenges for me drinking etc is now a thing of the past, a regret and a waste of life. I feel the same about poor diets. I did those resolutions and this year it was a new fence and alarm and that done.

Good luck with that but when you have pains when you urinate, blood in your stool and your eyes go yellow it'll be too late.

Lol I'm not an alcoholic mate. I drink, in moderation.

Don't see the point in New Years resolutions people tend to give up by February. By then their alcohol tolerance is zero and their stomachs have shrunk so people can't handle their drink again and put weight on quickly!

I've actually been drinking a lot less, and eating healthy. If I was still drinking a **** load, I'd still be over 12st.

Aren't you 6 foot? Get some steaks into you...I got a multi gym in December and am coming back from a torn calf - been far healthier the last 2 month and look far fitter/leaner but now weigh half a stone more (14st6)...completely unintentional, but I suppose muscle weighs more than fat.

I haven't set myself a resolution as such, more an ultimatum to do 'something' be that finding a better job or seeing a bit more of the world!

I've tried weight training a few times, and I just couldn't keep it up. I tried for 2 months, and I saw some change, but I had other concerns to deal with, and I just couldn't keep myself motivated.

I'm naturally a big bloke. My dad was 6ft 1 in his prime. My uncles were 6ft 2 and 6ft 3. I'm 6ft tall now.

I don't want to lose anymore weight, because my strength and confidence has helped me fight off anymore that has tried to confront me. But the alcohol consumption and **** I was eating was killing my insides.

I felt It was necessary to change my lifestyle to improve my body. I might try to bulk up in the future, but right now I'm just trying to get healthy, but I'm also trying to stay big and strong.

Fair do's, I'm not really trying to get big, just physically fit...wouldn't mind having a bash at a triathlon in the future, but until then as you say just good to be healthy!

Good stuff bro. I'd like to be big and bulky. But from the research I've done, you can't do cardio if trying to build muscle.

To each his own. I'm personally just cutting down on alcohol and takeways. But I don't want to lose that much weight, because it's like my families tradition for blokes to be big and meaty.

    We've always been big blokes.
