National Hunt racing on Wednesday from Newbury (weather permitting) plus 2 Polytrack meetings at Lingfield and Kempton.

The bumper at Newbury looks an above-average affair and I'm nailing my colours to the mast of the Pipe horse Vieux Lion Rouge. Won as he liked on debut and looked a very smart individual. If the Sporting Life tissue price of 3/1 is accurate then I shall be investing. Good luck all.

Do you think Chapoturgeon will be tuned to win tomorrow Boris? Took the race last year and well ahead on figures. Is he a jailcase?

SQUAD kempton 6.15 currently 8/1 saw this horse at lingfield LTO when Eddie should/could have won but decided not too he found problems at the business end and didn't touch the horse with the whip I think tomorrow is the day for him to brink home the cash and is a fantastic price all thoughts welcome but I will be investing a decent bet good luck if you play

Small stakes stuff at the moment for me due to a dip in form so just having a €4.56 accumulator tomorrow at Newbury - Colour Squadron, Imperial Leader (Boris <ok>), Vieux Lion Rouge and Chapoturgeon. Quite confident on all 4 really but can't be arsed to upload any more funds onto my account for a yankee so the last €4.56 is going on this accumulator.

<laugh> Not the sort of race I would see a jailcase m8, but he does look the class horse in the race dosent he. One worry I would have is that he is usually held right up and I dont know anything about the jockey, but he could be a steering job.

The price I think he is going to be, I certainly wont be rushing to back him tho.

Same lad who rode him in this last year and at the festival (gave him a cracking ride). Looks like about 8/13 on Betfair which is too short for a single but he's in my €4.56 accy <ok> <laugh>

    Re earlier post

First Avenue won this race last year under 9.7 and effectively carries the same again tomorrow. Fit from hurdling, having run 5th of 21 behind Cause Of Causes at Ascot last month and 5¼L behind Get Me Out Of Here at Kempton (turf). Has some decent form on the flat including a creditable nk 2nd to Aiken over 12f at Epsom and only nk behind Art Scholar when 6th to Layline. Decent effort when fading final 2f in Cesarewitch trial at Newmarket. That day he was just over 10l behind Dark Ranger who he had earlier beaten in this race last year. The claiming jockey seems pretty decent so should not be a disadvantage. His latest race, behind Cause Of Causes was an £84k race. Not a bad warm up for a piddly £4k race, won 3 times in the last 4 years by trainer Laura Mongan.

At 6/1 (with PP) he looks a decent ew bet with an excellent chance of winning.

PS Looks as though the 6/1 has gone.

Oddy, I went to the 1st game, absolutely shocking!!!! both the game and us, not the same team that is top of last 6 form table in league. Would rather survive than have a cup run

And yes, very well mate, you?

Smashing card at Newbury tomorrow and several horses I like a lot, oh and you dont need a hunter chase expert to tell you that CHAPOTURGEON is nailed on!!!

After all that though I am looking for some evening fun at Kempton and the horse that I hope to provide the entertainment is PHOENIX FLIGHT 6.15 20-1. This horse is back off a sensible mark and whilst not winning for a couple of years he has kept some good company over hurdles. He is a C&D winner of a higher mark than this and additionally i really like the booking ofJim Crowley. The money is coming for him, opened 28-1, and I think connections must have laid him out for this.Sure to run a big race ad 20-1 looks massive value in my opinion!

Backed this one myself Stick but I definitely don't think he's been laid out for this and its an afterthought. He was a massive, massive eye catcher on his last start over hurdles and there is a slight concern in my eyes that this race may just be to keep his fitness up as he doesn't like soft ground so can't run at the moment. I still feel there is a good chance he will run a big race and at the price I definitely have no problem finding out. I've been waiting for him to reappear over hurdles for the last few months and I'll be very, very keen on his next start in that sphere.

The ROTO / STICKWISE connection has had its effect - forget Pricewise - Phoenix Flight now backed into 14's on PP ... Squad remains 7's ....surely one of the two will oblige ? Lets hope so - fingers x'd and thanks for the insights to all that that take the time to select and post on here .

Having looked at Phoenix Flight I think the traders chalked this one up way off mark and 12-14s is about the right price. Don't think it will win tonight though hoping it does for those that have invested.
