    Just couldn't imagine us letting Krul go, he's saved us loads of points this season. We'd be no hoper's to stay up if it hadn't been for him.

    On another front, the de Jong story has come to the fore again.

    Newcastle United have endured a disappointing transfer window to date, but the Daily Mail is reporting that Alan Pardew is planning a £9million bid for Ajax captain Siem de Jong to demonstrate the club's 'transfer ambition'.

    If it's one out and one in it doesn't look all that good an ambition.

    This first came from The Chronicle and is thought to be back up/competition for Tim krul.

    We aren't planning for the Championship at all... although we should be doing better it could be worse... We could be the unfortunate bunch that are rock bottom of the league and certain to go down.

    Never mind a back up keeper we need a CB PRONTO. Once we get that in place, and bear in mind we may well need 2 CB's if Colo departs, we can then concentrate on other positions and development squad. You have 2 weeks to sort it out but my suspicion says they'll wait until the Reading & Villa games are gone and then rush in on the last day if the results go against us and if, as hoped, they go in our favour they'll do nothing saying we'll wait until the summer.

    why the hell do we look for a GK when we need a CB and then a MF when we need a striker.

    I believe so. My dad supports the Brummies, he can't recall seeing a worse keeper play for them... But then again, he only watches them once in a while!
    Whenever I've seen him, he's been woeful. He's of that "palming" type that really upsets me too... CATCH IT ALREADY!

    Christ this woul be right up Ashleys sleeve this sell Krul and buy this pleb and think hes resolved our issues. Or poerhaps Parde sees him as right winger as he did with Cisse
